Can’t believe it’s almost 10 years since this legend retired. Happy Birthday Sir!
The greatest.
Happy birthday, Sir Alex ❤️

ALT A graphic to celebrate the birthday of our former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Terrible news, Simon was a fantastic performer and presenter and always supported those in the arts. I remember him from times at the @BACKendal in Kendal and more recently playing my music on BBC Cumbria. RIP Simon Yaxley x
The BBC Radio Cumbria presenter Simon Yaxley has died.
@RadioYakkers was found at his home in Carlisle yesterday afternoon.
He had been a BBC presenter for the past 5 years, and also worked for commercial radio in Cumbria
Our condolences go to his family, friends and listeners.

Still time to check out ‘A Drift of Swifts’ at The Coro, was a pleasure to work on the soundtrack for Simons stories.
Going inside another of our #IncredibleJourneys sheds, writer Simon Sylvester and composer @MDennyMusic capture the human experience of sharing a season with the astonishing, constantly migrating swift in 'A Drift of Swifts'.
ALT A woman sits on a stool in a garden shed full of assorted garden objects, from a piece of trellis and a watering can to a deck chair and a soil sieve. There is a small lamp lighting the shed. The woman has a pair of headphones on and is listening intently to the audio tracks recounting Simon's encounters with swifts over the years.
‘A Drift of Swifts’ - my first art installation in collab with Simon Sylvester and The Coro, Ulverston is now open as part of the ‘Incredible Journeys’ exhibition! Loved working on the soundscape, make sure you pop in, it’s free! #cumbria #arts #thecoro #incrediblejourneys
