Banks and payment service providers will identify P2PM merchants based on their inward UPI payments.
Merchants receiving up to ₹1 lakh per month remain under P2PM. If inward UPI payments exceed ₹1 lakh per month for 3 consecutive months, the merchant is formally transitioned to the P2M category.
