From child protection to career guidance, Miracle Foundation India’s nine Youth Ambassadors are helping young people find their voice and explore new opportunities. In September, across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Telangana, they facilitated sessions on child rights, gender-based violence and self-defence, engaged with child protection groups, organized inclusive activities for children with disabilities, and connected young people with opportunities for skill development, education and employment. By taking the lead in their communities, these young changemakers are showing how youth-led action can amplify young people’s voices, inspire participation and help build safer, more supportive environments for all children. Miracle Foundation India at Social Service Workforce Week 2026 Subroto Chatterjee, Associate Director (N&E) – Program, represented Miracle Foundation India at the peer learning workshop on “Exploring the Role of Supervision in Supporting the Social Service Workforce,” organised by the Global Social Service Workforce Alliance. Drawing on our work on family strengthening and family-based care, Subroto highlighted how effective supervision can go beyond monitoring activities to build competencies, strengthen confidence, encourage reflective practice and improve outcomes for children and families. The discussion explored four approaches to supervision—individual, group, peer-to-peer and expert-facilitated—and the importance of combining them according to frontline workers’ needs and the complexity of cases. Practical approaches such as the Happy Family Checklist, Family Visit Checklist, Thrive Scale, interactive capacity-building sessions, immersion visits and handholding support can connect learning directly to field practice. Our key message: Effective supervision is not about providing all the answers; it is about enabling people to find solutions, learn from experience and work independently with confidence. By strengthening frontline workers and promoting government ownership, supervision can contribute to quality, sustainable support for children and families. #MiracleFoundationIndia #SocialServiceWorkforce #Supervision #ChildProtection #FamilyStrengthening #SocialWork #ReflectivePractice

For Sandhiya, being a social worker is more than a profession, it is deeply connected to her own story. Having experienced institutional care as a child, she knows how important it can be for a child to have someone who listens, understands and believes in them. Today, as an Accountant-cum-Social Worker at Child Haven International (Child Care Institution) in Tamil Nadu, Sandhiya brings that understanding into her work with children and families. Alongside supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and life skills, she works directly with families to understand their circumstances and connect them with government schemes and other support. Meet Sandhiya and learn what shapes her approach to social work: miraclefoundationindia.in/ce… #SSWWeek #SocialService #SocialServiceWorkforce #FamilyCare #AFamilyForEveryChild @SSWAlliance

Family is a child’s first source of love, belonging and protection. When families face difficult circumstances, some children may need to spend time in a Child Care Institution. When it is safe and in the child’s best interests, returning to family is an important step towards restoring that connection. However, reintegration is only the beginning and the transition can take time. Children may need time and support to settle back into family life, reconnect with school and rebuild relationships. Families, too, may need continued support to navigate challenges along the way. In this blog, @Upasana from our Communications team explores why support matters both before and after reintegration, and what it takes to help children and families thrive together. 📷 Read the full blog: miraclefoundationindia.in/be… #AFamilyForEveryChild

Every child deserves to be heard, understood and feel safe at home. This #WorldMentalHealthDay, let’s remember that a child’s emotional well-being begins with the relationships we nurture and the safe spaces we create for them to grow. Because every child deserves a home where they feel safe, loved and accepted. #AFamilyForEveryChild

This #WorldMentalHealthDay, the Miracle Foundation India team comes together to reflect on the importance of #MentalHealth and well-being, share experiences and learn from one another, helping create a culture where mental health is openly discussed and understood.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is listen. Children may not always have the words to express what they feel, but their emotions deserve to be heard, understood and respected. A little patience, a safe space and a caring adult can make a world of difference. This #WorldMentalHealthDay, let’s create a world where every child feels safe to speak, express themselves and know that they are not alone. Because every child deserves to be heard, understood and supported. #AFamilyForEveryChild
