Feels like there’s more to this story… 🚨 NEW DETAILS RELEASED IN OLNEY HOME INVESTIGATION 🚨 Philadelphia police have released new information about the ongoing investigation that led officers to a home on the 400 block of W. Chew Avenue in Olney. According to investigators, the case began after a park ranger responded to a disturbance involving a man and woman inside a vehicle near Independence Mall. Police say 44-year-old Eugene Horsch was found in possession of fake DEA credentials, firearms with obliterated serial numbers, and narcotics. The investigation later led authorities to Horsch’s Olney home, where investigators recovered: • A third firearm • More than 120 pieces of ballistic evidence • Narcotics • Evidence of a suspected drug-growing or drug-manufacturing operation • A large quantity of chemicals in the basement Investigators say the basement contained a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines and numerous chemicals that could become dangerous if combined or ignited. Officials say they have not determined what the setup was being used for. Police also confirmed a woman with Horsch was carrying an identification card bearing the name of a woman who has been reported missing. Investigators say there is no evidence at this time that the missing woman was ever inside the Olney home. Officials also addressed rumors circulating online, stating no bodies have been found inside the residence. Horsch, a convicted felon, remains in custody on drug and firearms charges. His attorney maintains many of the chemicals belonged to Horsch’s late father and believes they will ultimately be determined to be harmless. 📍 400 Block of W.
