In order to turn this off you need to go to your Settings -> then to Privacy & Safety -> and then finally in the Grok settings in order to turn it off.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!! This only works on the website version for someone reason so you can’t do it on mobile.
I don't know if I have the self-control to stay off this site, but I'm damn well going to try. I'm on Bluesky and I hope all you lovely folks will join me there, because this place is actually, actively evil now.

I know this sounds alarmist and I don't know how to put it into less Nazi-ish terms, but you know how evangelical Christians want all the Jews to move to Israel? I think that's the mass deportation they're really hoping to execute.
You're going along just fine and then you see a birthday cake on tv and realize that next month, for the first time in your life, your birthday won't include a cake lovingly procured by your mom. And now you're a lot less fine than you were a minute ago.
Like, I know "It's just a joke!," but could we at least not blame liberal women for the rise of Republican men? Glenn Close is a passionate and public anti-Trumper who acted in a movie based on a book by a guy nobody had ever heard of. Must we all take a turn being Eve?
Has Ron Howard said or done anything today to make him trend, or is this another case of people blaming liberals for the rise of Trumpers (albeit under the cover of 'It's just a joke!')?
I'm not giving this description a click so maybe it's misleading, but boy those sure are a lot of bloodless, normalizing words for this extremely bloody, hideously abnormal ticket.
"Now there’s a good chance the future of the Republican Party will look like J. D. Vance: populist but illiberal, semi-isolationist, and able to connect with both the working class and elite circles." @GrahamDavidA on what the pick means: theatlantic.com/politics/arc…
Best part is the brigade running in from the bullpen in case their teammates need help angrily pointing at their opponents.
I keep thinking this must be parody, but apparently it's not. I wish I knew what to do. This has to be what decent German gentiles felt like right before the camps opened.
"We're gonna deport a lot of people, 10 million people and growing - anchor babies, their parents, their grandparents. We're gonna put kids in cages. It's gonna be glorious." @JasonSCampbell

The concept of time in our criminal justice systems is not about rehabilitation, it's about 1) public safety (during the actual sentence) and 2) vengeance. It does not turn bad people into good people, nor misguided people into wise ones.

Our justice system is built on the concept of time. Who are you to say that's not enough?
Further, the system keeps a permanent legal leash on those who commit sex crimes against children, which is one of the offenses the CHI brass enabled. I'm not saying they should go on a registry, but they should have to demonstrate atonement before they regain positions of power.
1. What did they actually do? "Engage in activities" says nothing.
2. In what way have they made restitution to their victims?
We should allow for growth & atonement, but only if there's actual, demonstrable growth & atonement. As ever, the simple passage of time is not enough.
