UDO KIER R.I.P. (1944-2025) He was such a unique actor - he was in so many things - some great, some good, some horrible. I loved him in SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE (pictured). Kier worked w/ Lars Von Trier,Gus Van Sant, Fassbender, Dario Argento, etc. He amassed over 280 film credits

In the movies they make it look so easy to tie someone to a chair - well, take it from me, it is extremely difficult.

R.I.P. Robert Redford A good person and a truly talented filmmaker & actor.

GO NY GO!!!! Knicks DESTROYED Boston tonight and sent them packing!!!

My current mood....

I like eye candy, but I refuse to eat my eye vegetables.

MARIANNE FAITHFULL R.I.P. This talented actress/singer had a turbulent life - but man, this 1979 LP Broken English was played by me over and over back in the day - an amazing, angry, dark, beautiful album. Rest In Peace.

Warning: I Am DVRing This Entire Year, So No SPOILER ALERTS!!

FILM FREAK FRIDAY: ANORA (2024) Mikey Madison is superb in this terrific film. In fact, all the performances are great - esp Yuriy Borisov. All the characters have dimension & depth in what could have easily been caricatures.Sean Baker's film is funny, sad, & exciting .

THE RESISTIBLE RISE OF ARTURO UI by Bertolt Brecht (1941) It seems fitting to highlight this today Brecht's play warns of the dangers of power & fascism - Al Pacino has starred in 2 different productions. The lead has been played by Peter Falk, Christopher Plummer,Hugo Weaving

“I can’t be a pessimist because I am alive. To be a pessimist means that you have agreed that human life is an academic matter. So, I am forced to be an optimist. I am forced to believe that we can survive, whatever we must survive.” James Baldwin
