Ilhan Omar IS America. She quite literally is the American Dream. Came here with her family as an asylum seeker. Became a U.S. Citizen in 2000 at the age of 17. Worked her way to become a U.S. Congresswoman and one of the most progressive politicians in our country.
Any smears against her are quite literally just distractions from the fact that Donald Trump started a war with Iran that has lasted ALL YEAR, cost taxpayers BILLIONS, raised gas prices to all time highs, and has done nothing to help you or your family afford life. Oh, and he was best friends with Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump will never be the patriot Ilhan Omar is.

One take. That’s all Whitney Houston needed to record one of the most memorable National Anthem performances in American history.
January 27, 1991. The Gulf War was underway. Operation Desert Storm had started just ten days earlier, American troops were fighting overseas, and families back home were watching the news, hoping their loved ones would return safely.
Patriotism was everywhere. American flags were flying, yellow ribbons were tied around trees, and Americans were united in their support for our troops.
Then, before Super Bowl XXV, 27-year-old Whitney Houston stepped up to sing the National Anthem.
Here’s something a lot of people don’t know. The vocals heard during the broadcast were prerecorded, and according to accounts of the session, Whitney nailed the recording in a single take.
I remember that period well. You couldn’t turn on the television without hearing about the war, and everywhere you looked, people were showing their support for our military.
When Whitney sang that anthem, it fit the mood of the country perfectly.
I’ve heard plenty of great singers perform the National Anthem over the years, but Whitney Houston’s performance at that particular moment in American history is one I’ll never forget.

Dressed in her beautiful Palestinian dress, I took these photos of my little Rafif to preserve her smile and the memories of her childhood.
Amid all the fear and bombing in Gaza, I try to create beautiful moments for her to look back on one day.
Rafif deserves a childhood far more beautiful than this war. 🇵🇸❤️

Dear Americans,
I am a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and I want to tell you something.
Freedom is not measured in dollars. Freedom is not measured by the price of diesel in your car’s tank.
Freedom is measured by a nation’s willingness to fight for its country, its people, and its right to exist.
We Ukrainians know the price of freedom. We pay it in blood. Every single day.
We will continue striking Russian military targets. We will continue fighting Russian invaders on land, at sea, and in the sky. In Ukraine and wherever Russia wages its war against us.
Because we are not fighting for money, oil, or comfort.
We are fighting for our homeland. For our future. For our FREEDOM.
And we will never surrender it.

Another strike on a Russian oil refinery in Omsk – one of the major refineries – as well as on the Ukhta oil refinery, 1,900 kilometers from Ukraine’s state border. The target in Ukhta was hit by An-196 RS drones, which can fly about 2,500 kilometers, while FP-6 drones (modified FP-1s) were used against the Omsk refinery the day before. We continue to respond to Russia’s attacks on Ukraine, and we’re doing so with high precision. Another data center was hit as well – our symmetrical response. An important display of accuracy by our warriors. Glory to Ukraine!
