Not everyone should delay CPP to age 70, but far more should than do.
My observation on the way this decision gets made for those who should delay:
Skip past solid advice about the benefits of waiting, and zero in on one talking point in favour of starting at 60.
Done.

Chart crime du jour.
There are only 4 distinct points. The decades overlap in 119 of 120 months. Then they look up equal-weighted P/E on a chart of regular cap-weighted data. Nonsense.
Expected future returns are down, but only slightly. The statistical evidence is weak.
In the first half of your life, you own your possessions. In the second half of your life, your possessions own you.
I'm watching my neighbour make the transition.
Interesting article by @preetbanerjee. I think CPP is similar. Taking CPP early gets a shrunken version of CPP, but people think of it as "getting their CPP" whatever age they start. I tell them they can't get it at 60 -- they have to throw away more than half its cash flow.
