Protecting our children must always come first. In Parliament, I raised serious concerns about how our justice system handles alleged child sexual offenders , questioning whether enough is being done to prevent harm and keep South Australians safe . Communities deserve confidence that every possible step is being taken to protect children and hold offenders accountable. #ProtectChildren #ChildSafety #ParliamentSA #SouthAustralia #CommunitySafety #Justice #KeepingKidsSafe – at Adelaide, South Australia

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Lifeline South Australian Volunteer Awards 2026, hosted by Regional Community Care Limited. This special event recognised and celebrated the outstanding contributions of Lifeline volunteers across South Australia, whose dedication, compassion and service make a profound difference in the lives of others. Lifeline plays a vital role in supporting Regional South Australians through some of life's toughest moments. Its services provide a destination for help, offering crisis support, counselling, community services, self-led support resources and training. Through the commitment of its volunteers and staff, Lifeline continues to provide hope, connection and assistance to those who need it most. @LifelineAust #LifelineSA #VolunteerAwards #CommunityService #MakingADifference #MentalHealthSupport #SouthAustralia #Volunteers #RegionalCommunityCare #LifelineAustralia #ThankYouVolunteers

On Saturday, I met with Matt Cadd at his farm, and we spoke about the ongoing issues impacting local producers, including rising input costs, operational pressures, the growing burden of over regulation, and the broader financial burden facing farming businesses. It was a valuable opportunity to hear firsthand about the realities on the ground and the difficult decisions many farmers are being forced to make as costs continue to increase. These conversations are essential to ensuring the voices of our farming communities are heard and that practical solutions are pursued to support the agricultural sector. Thank you to Matt Cadd and James Venning for taking the time to share their insights and experiences. Their knowledge and commitment to the industry are invaluable. @GrainProducerSA @stockjournal @fat_farmers #Harvest2026 #SupportLocalFarmers #SouthAustralianFarming #PrimaryProducers #RuralSA #AgricultureMatters #FarmingCommunities #FoodSecurity #RegionalSA #FarmLife #CostOfFarming #HarvestChallenges #SouthAustralia #CommunityVoices #StandingUpForFarmers #Agriculture #RuralCommunities #FarmersFirst #RegionalDevelopment

Farm dams are essential for our community, environment, and safety. • Dams protect livestock by ensuring a reliable water supply. • Dams provide a vital water source for native wildlife. • Dams assist in protecting our homes, sheds, and properties from bushfires. Next week, I will be moving a motion in Parliament highlighting the critical importance of water storage and dam capacity for our South Aussie farmers. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿, 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗔, to discuss the invaluable work being done to support foster and kinship carers across South Australia.‌ Over the years, I have raised concerns in Parliament about the need for greater support for foster and kinship carers, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 as they step up to provide safe, loving, and stable homes for vulnerable children.‌ Foster and kinship carers are among the most dedicated and compassionate people in our community. They open their homes and hearts to children in need, often making significant personal sacrifices to provide stability, care, and opportunity. I look forward to working with Russell and his team to explore ways we can better support and empower foster and kinship carers, while ensuring the children and young people in their care have every opportunity to thrive. #FosterCare #KinshipCare #CarerSupport #ChildrenFirst #SupportingFamilies #CommunityAdvocacy #SouthAustralia #ChildProtection #StrongerCommunities #MakingADifference #CommunityLeadership #SALegislativeCouncil #FosterAndKinshipCarers #AdvocacyMatters #SACommunity – at Adelaide, South Australia

No South Australian should have to travel 600-800km for essential healthcare. Today, I questioned the Government about the lack of specialist healthcare services on the Eyre Peninsula and what is being done to reduce the burden on regional patients and their families. Regional communities deserve better access to healthcare, closer to home. #RegionalSA #EyrePeninsula #HealthCare #ParliamentSA 🇦🇺 – at Adelaide, South Australia

Today I had the privilege of moving a motion in Parliament recognising 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗔𝗠 for his extraordinary service to veterans, mental health awareness and the wider community. After serving 20 years in the Australian Defence Force, including active service in Iraq, Dennis turned his own mental health struggles into a mission to help others. His vision led to the creation of the 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗡𝗭𝗔𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 , a peaceful space built by veterans, for veterans, honouring more than 700 local men and women who have served our nation. Having recently visited the gardens, I was struck by their beauty, serenity and the powerful stories of service they preserve. Thank you, Dennis, for your service, leadership and unwavering commitment to helping others. South Australia is better because of people like you. 💙 #Veterans #MentalHealth #CommunityLeadership #SouthAustralia #LestWeForget 🇦🇺 – at Adelaide, South Australia

Regional mothers should not have to travel hundreds of kilometres just to give birth. Caught up with John Dawkins and the CEO of Roxby Downs Mick Nelson to discuss important regional issues, including the work of Mind Over Masculinity in supporting men's mental health. We also discussed the lack of birthing facilities at the local hospital, with expectant mothers having to travel to Adelaide and sometimes stay in Airbnb accommodation for up to six weeks, away from their partners and support networks, often facing emotional and financial hardship. Regional families deserve better access to essential healthcare, closer to home.z – at Adelaide, South Australia

𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡, 𝗠𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡. 𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗬. How can we claim to 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 our 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 while allowing widespread access to 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 and 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 are not the only victims. 𝗠𝗲𝗻 and 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 can also suffer serious mental and emotional harm, including unhealthy expectations around sexuality and relationships. Our veterans deserve more than gratitude, they deserve genuine support, connection and care. Today, we hosted a Veterans Forum, bringing together community advocates and representatives to discuss veterans’ wellbeing, particularly mental health and the importance of community support. We appreciated the attendance of both the Minister and Shadow Minister, but the real highlight was hearing from those making a difference on the ground. A special thank you to Dennis Oldenhove from the Macclesfield RSL, who shared the inspiring story behind the ANZAC Memorial Garden and the important work being done to support veterans’ mental health, connection and wellbeing. We also heard from Lidia Faranda Hall from Resolute Ready, who spoke about their work supporting veterans and building resilience. Our veterans have served our country. Ensuring they are supported long after their service ends must remain a priority. Because supporting our veterans isnt just about remembering their service, its about standing beside them today. #VeteransWellbeing #MentalHealth #VeteransSupport #SouthAustralia #LestWeForget – at Adelaide, South Australia

When children's health is at stake, we need answers, not silence! The 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 (𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗖) Summit in Adelaide raised some deeply concerning questions about gender medicine and the treatment of vulnerable children. 𝗗𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗢'𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 delivered a powerful presentation titled “𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻”, questioning the evidence behind medical transition pathways. Even more alarming were 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 and Welfare figures showing 𝟳𝟯 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯–𝟮𝟰, compared with just 𝟴 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟱–𝟭𝟲. These figures raise serious questions about the accuracy and interpretation of biological sex data in our health system. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 also raised concerns about children receiving treatment without the necessary parental consent and the potential legal consequences. It was also wonderful to connect with 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗸𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗔 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. This is exactly why I have called for a Parliamentary Inquiry into gender dysphoria services in South Australia. We need transparency, parental involvement, medical accountability and proper scrutiny of the evidence guiding treatment decisions. Our children deserve better than unanswered questions. They deserve protection, transparency and the highest standards of care. @WomensForumAust @aclobby @thetiser @genspectinternationa @stellaomalley @RachaelWongAus @australian – at Adelaide, South Australia
