60 years ago today, Medgar Evers was assassinated in the driveway of his family home in Jackson, Mississippi. Today, we remember the sacrifice Medgar made in his tireless pursuit of justice.
We reflect on the enduring legacy he left behind and the profound impact he had on the Civil Rights Movement. Today, we honor him. We honor Myrlie Evers and her steadfast determination in continuing the fight for equality in his memory.
Today, we honor their children—Darrel, Reena, and James. While history is actively being ripped away from us, today—we remember Medgar Evers.

The Mississippi Delta is known for its lush marshes, greenery, and significance to the Civil Rights Movement, Black history and culture in Mississippi. Our Gen-Z Summit students took a road trip through the Delta.
The students ended their trip through the Delta with a stop at Bryant’s Grocery where Emmett Till whistled. @EmmettTill Lance Wheeler led a conversation with the students about the importance of working to preserve our disappearing history.
Once again, we are so proud of this next generation of leaders. #GenZ #MedgarandMyrlieEvers #MMEIGenZSummit
