Friday Later: Turist / C.U.N.T.S. with Ernesto Chahoud – Funkhaus, Vienna – part of the Viennale Film Festival… Surf/Cumbia/Highlife live action followed by female rap five piece… evening closed by Beirut Groove Collective… floor friendly action from start to finish…
Turist 45 available here - littlebeatmore.bandcamp.com/…
Gallery Day: starting with the Mumok for Kate Millett: Terminal Piece & Tolia Astakhishvili: Figure of the Child… there are five floors of immersive works, installation plus the video rooms… this takes a bit of time… wise to go early…
…lunch break…between galleries #UmarFisch at #Naschmarkt is always good when the sun is out and you can sit outside and smoke between course over a beer or two... Octopus salad followed by Swordfish…
#Zentralfriedhof, #Vienna: Ideal location for a walk with a bit of history earlier... always enjoy leaving by the gates close the film The Third Man (1949)... no sign of Holly Martins today ;-)
…can recommend #ConcordiaSchlössl at Gate 1 of the Zentralfriedhof for lunch: Kürbiscremesuppe followed by Wildschweinschnitzel with a Zwickl on side… sort of Anthony Bourdain menu 😉

DAVID BOWIE IN "STAGE" TRAILER
“I never thought I’d need so many people....”
The headline hints at the content of this post, yes, it’s the trailer for Brett Morgen’s long-awaited film: DAVID BOWIE IN "STAGE".
Do you recognize yourself among the parade of fans? If so, please make yourself known here.
One of the aforementioned was outed by today’s Guardian piece. A 17-year-old Mark Adams (AKA Total Blam Blam) of this parish. Where did the time go?

Today may be first actual retirement day... flat be totally emptied, bits given back... extended pub lunch with beers... the suns out, cloudless sky & smoking terrace be wind free... oh yes ;-)
Monday: Mahall, Swell, Tokar & Kugel (Porgy & Bess, Vienna) – Sadly Joe McPhee is not in best of health… speedy recovery young man… high-fives to Rudi Mahall for standing in at short notice… two five-star free-improve-jazz sets… unbeatable… top night 😉
With McPhee they sounded like this back in 2025 youtu.be/4rxsgrqQUQI?si=IU_I…

Move fast! Horace Panter, founding member and bassist of The Specials, is in the shop Wed 18 & Thu 19 Nov, 7–9pm, same event both nights. An exhibition of his paintings, a talk and Q&A, drinks, music and the new Limited Edition art print and t-shirt. Numbers are very limited 😎
Last night in flat of 23yrs… before moving to hotel for last days in town… Glasgow calls... here the walls be well nicotine & music soaked & the place be a crumbing… best shot under the cover of darkness... roll on next Sunday ;-)
…surprisingly statics suggest the most played song in flat over may years was Bonnie 'Prince' Billy’s West Palm Beach from a cheap 45 scored way back in the day youtu.be/FHfTUcc9Pr0?si=UQyF… - who knew 😉
...totally forgot... West Palm Beach (Palace Records, US 1995) - on the flip-side U will find Gulf Shores... it be no half bad too... youtu.be/Shy9Y0veR0Y?... - proper doubled sided 7" if you ask me & still cheap 45 ;-)
