The beauty & madness of sports! It’s not the best player/team wins, it is the player/team that plays the best. That separation is much more mental than physical. It begins with how we think! Getting the mind right for the biggest moment allows us to play more free.

It’s the ultimate when the teams I work w/ win the last game of the season. Fortunately, I’ve experienced it a few times w/ different programs. Most recently with @RJHSBaseball ! Grateful for the chance to enhance their mental toughness & be on the journey w/ them. What a ride!

I’ve never seen a loss this disrupting! A controversial coach firing & these comments from your “leaders”! The trust that is being destroyed through an organization that has had success is difficult to watch. I feel for the Bills Fans.
Wow. #Bills owner Terry Pegula says the coaching staff pushed to draft WR Keon Coleman and that was never GM Brandon Beane's top choice in that situation. "That was Brandon being a team player. ... He's taken heat over it. I'm here to tell you the true story." Wowza. I've never seen anything like this before... Coleman is still on the roster BTW.

The 99 times you do the right thing as an OFer to back up the play & then the one time you don’t gets exposed. A great reminder for life as well.
Kentucky walks off #2 Texas with a… sac bunt? 5 hour game, 15 innings, and the RF forgot to back up the throw

Everyone works on offensive moves / shooting in the summer, are you working on defense ? If not, you should be. You want minutes ? Work on your “D” ..

Being the program that has the most cuts of any program at the school is a tough job! Thank you to @creek_hoops & Coach Hartsfield for allowing me to talk to all of the players before teams are announced to give them “weapons” in order to continue their story.

Inadvertently chose the loudest cart in the store. First instinct was to switch it, but made it an Everyday Mental Toughness Test. Lots of glances & some stares. Good practice! Felt like the kid w/ a playing card in the bicycle tire. “Mental toughness is perishable!”

Enjoyed the opportunity to talk to some the Trails Rec camp instructors in order to give them tools in dealing with behavior of campers. Connecting with campers is key & that has instructors getting out of their comfort zone to work in their own mental toughness.

Next, it’s vital we teach how to focus, how to listen & how to control our attitudes to be positive if that’s what we want. Many times we assume they know how to do this then we wonder why they aren’t doing it. Control the Controllables —Teaching “basic” skills provides clarity.

27 years in the classroom has enabled me to experience a lot, but since each child is different there is always something new I get to learn. We want to embrace that opportunity!

This is inexcusable! There is context to this, but it starts w/ the Parent & possibly official needing to be accountable.
Right here in Fort Wayne Indiana. Why is it ok to attack a official? When is it going to stop? This is why we don’t have officials!

If this parent is trying to teach their child about mental toughness, resiliency, respect for others or emotional composure have someone else teach them this b/c you lost all trust & credibility despite what you may think.

With Summer quickly approaching, sports is in high gear. We want to provide parents w/ “weapons” to add to their mental arsenal in order to NOT be the “interference” for their athlete’s performance. A powerful message is received by our kids when they see us pursuing knowledge!

As adults, we need to stop 'stealing the struggle' from our kids/players. When we 'steal the struggle', we steal their opportunity for growth & learning. We need to prepare them for the path (teach resilience and confidence), but we can't prepare the path for them.

“Nobody has patience anymore.” Building anything worth standing takes time. Society creates us to be an instant gratification being. Greatness is a many night & day journey. Nothing is done over a night regardless of what we want to believe.

The “secret” to success is hours & years of hard work! Anyone looking for the “secret” wants the easy & not willing to put the work in!

This is why reinforcing our mindset to believe that the most important at-bat is the next one because that’s the one we can control is vital to being a Prime Time Performer!

Munetaka Murakami was 0 for 4 striking out in his first 3 at-bats. Most would start making excuses to protect their ego. However, a Saikō (Supreme) Competitor which Murakami proved he is continued to compete & battle! Love when real life gives real examples to teach my people!

True tears of joy even after the loss to Xavier. Really cool to see! I’m ready to go play for Coach Abdul-Rahim! Achievements take time & it is great introspect for all of us to really define success.
Kennesaw State coach Amir Abdur-Rahim cries "tears of joy" as the Owls' season comes to an end after a first-round loss to Xavier. Grab a tissue. Why March Madness is so special. 🥹
