I encounter a lot of people that either think I'm pretending or have an ulterior motive. Because in their opinion, No "Pretty girl" is this nice and polite. In time, engaging with and meeting different people from this "generation", I see why they would think that. My opinion;

What does it mean to be safe if the institutions meant to protect you are the very ones you are afraid of ? I recently joined a Wilton Park dialogue in Sussex to discuss human rights futures and security in advancing dignity. Grateful for the people and the opportunity to learn from others working to defend and strengthen democracy.

In 2007, Daily Sun reported that Anambra State Governor Peter Obi had blocked pension payments to former governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, who had left office in 2003 with more than ₦1 billion in unpaid pensions. Unnamed sources told the newspaper that Mbadinuju had left behind 16 months of unpaid pensions and once described protesting pensioners as “dead woods.” Obi reportedly said he found it difficult to approve Mbadinuju’s pension while the state was still struggling to clear the backlog of unpaid pensions he had inherited. Daily Sun reported, “Obi said that he could not approve Mbadinuju's pension in good conscience as ₦1.7 billion duly paid to the state by the Federal Government was missing and was still being investigated.” The governor’s spokesperson, Valentine Obienyem, did not confirm the report. However, when asked for his thoughts, he said, “It will become a good lesson to those that govern states that sooner or later, our actions and omissions will haunt us.”

MY VISIT TO THE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA Today, I honoured the invitation of the newly inaugurated President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Dr. Eric Okoye, and other former Presidents of the Association to attend his inauguration ceremony at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. On the sidelines of the event, I interacted with the new President and members of MAN and reiterated the enormous potential of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. With the right government policies, an enabling business environment, and stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors, Nigeria can significantly increase the contribution of manufacturing to our GDP. Manufacturing currently contributes about 7.5% of Nigeria’s GDP, compared with about 14% in Egypt, 15% in Morocco, 25% in Vietnam, 19% in Indonesia, and 20% in Bangladesh We must therefore deliberately move from a consumption-driven economy to a productive economy, one that produces, creates jobs, adds value and competes successfully in the global market. A stronger manufacturing sector will expand employment opportunities, strengthen our productive capacity, reduce our dependence on imports, increase exports, and improve the standard of living of our people. I congratulate the new President and his team and wish them a successful and productive tenure. I look forward to continued engagement with the manufacturing sector as we work towards building a more productive and prosperous Nigeria. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

IF YOU’RE IN NO CONTACT WITH SOMEONE, THIS MESSAGE MAY BE FOR YOU… Someone that you are currently in no contact with has been thinking about you heavily for the past three days. You have not left this person's mind. I’m seeing this person replaying the situation over and over

I'm not ashamed to say it. I've overplayed my role more times than I can count. Not because I'm desperate, not because I lack self-respect, but because when I care... I care for real. I pour. I show up. I love in a way I want to be loved back. And yes, sometimes I hurt my own feelings doing it. But at least I know my heart was honest. I stand by that.
