Saw this in real time at @PowerBSB and after the event when @EliteSquad used it. UNBELIEVABLE! A must get for travel orgs around the country!
This is very well thought out and easy to use!
I’m excited to officially launch @HandledReports.
I have devoted much of my
life to how travel clubs are operated.
Tryout day, staffs work the field all day, grading every kid, writing evaluations, recording metrics. Then the season starts, and coaches keep evaluating — every practice, every game. By the end of the year staffs have more insight into these kids than anyone. And almost none of it ever reaches a family.
Not because orgs and coaches don’t care. There was no good way to get it the info out of their heads and onto something a parent could read.
That gap followed me for years. So I built Handled.
1. Run your tryout from your phone — live evals, keep/cut/bubble, run the combine and store the data, live leaderboards, teams built and emails with evals and team placement sent by end of day.
2. During the season, coaches text, voice-memo, record, or evaluate what they see, and it becomes a real report — grade, strengths, what to work on. Have access to data? Even better, our reports work with all of it.
End of season, after a practice, after a lesson: families receive a report on where their kid started and where they’re headed, professionally crafted with your logos and custom links.
Tryouts to in-season to end of season, feedback coaches already have but the player and families deserve.

Youth sports is a massive business now. Billions. Travel, showcases, tech, content, gear, swag, training, schools, etc.
But every dollar still runs through a kid and a family.
They don’t need to be treated like products.
They need fun. Real support that sticks around when things get hard. Adults who protect their childhood while still pushing them to get better. A path that actually leaves them healthier and more complete on the other side.
The market keeps getting bigger, that toothpaste isn’t going back in.
We can either grow with it the right way… or just keep feeding into it.
I prefer to the former to the later.
Love this. Technology can tell you what is happening and be a great feedback tool, but competing, making adjustments, knowing your swing and practicing it daily - these things still matter!
There was a generation of hitters who didn’t have private labs, slow-mo breakdowns, or daily swing breakdowns in their DMs.
They had a cage.
One coach.
And a whole lot of failure.
They didn’t outsource adjustments.
They learned to feel them.
They didn’t run to technology every 0-for-4.
They learned how to compete through it.
They had to figure it out themselves — in the dark, in the mess, in the middle of a season when nobody was coming to save them.
And because of that, they developed something you can’t measure:
Ownership.
Feel.
Resilience.
Technology is a tool.
But awareness is a skill.
We can't let convenience rob this generation of growth.

Need to be real for a second.
All the “if you don’t get a call on August 1st, your journey isn’t over” posts are true.
But they also minimize the kids who do get that call.
If you’re one of them, you’re probably a gifted player who has worked his tail off.
Many of the next college stars and 2028 MLB Draft picks are getting those August 1st calls.
Not all of them. But most of them.
I can’t emphasis enough how this changes things across the board.
2022 grads with another year of eligibility
ALL currently enrolled college players with 5 years of eligibility
Where do the HS players go? Postgrad? JV programs??
This is wild 🤪
This is WILD…and August 1st is 1 hour away. HS players, things just got really really tough. The scramble for roster spots is on….better be able to play and produce.
Hot take:
Deciding to play fall ball should come down to two numbers:
Pitchers → total innings pitched year-to-date
Hitters → total at-bats year-to-date
Not what the other kids are doing. Not what the coach is pushing.
The calendar is backwards. Pre-HS kids play almost year-round and rack up huge volume early.
High school guys often get 20-30 games in the spring and a summer season that keeps getting shorter. A lot of them finish the year short on quality reps.
So it’s not automatically “shut it down.”
Pitchers: 100 innings in a 12-month window is the clear line. Over that and competitive fall pitching is usually a bad idea. Under it and fall work can still make sense.
Hitters: A lot of high school players finish spring + summer well under 250 at-bats. That’s not enough meaningful reps for most kids trying to develop. If you’re short, a good fall can fill a real gap.
Track the numbers. Then make the call that actually helps long-term instead of just filling the calendar or arbitrarily “shutting it down”.
Talked to a Power 5 coach yesterday whose son was at a big showcase in the Southeast.
A travel ball club texts “the kid” (it was actually the dad/coach)… misspells his name… and tries to recruit him to their org.
Maybe do a little background on who you’re dealing with? At least get the name spelled right 😂😂😂
Always a joy when @OverheardLakeP1 fires it up again!
“I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuffs gonna come down for quite a while.”

That a boy @WBarrett1028! Keep working!

August 1 is right around the corner.
For a small handful of players, it’s an exciting day.
For the vast majority, it hits hard — disappointment, doubt, even fear.
“I’m not good enough.”
“I worked so hard.”
“Why him and not me?”
Players & parents — listen up:
Not getting a call on August 1 does not mean your baseball career is over.
Keep WORKING.
Keep BELIEVING.
Keep DREAMING.
Focused, intentional work still moves mountains. Your goals are still in front of you.
Stay in the fight
This guy is a winner, plays the game hard. If you are looking for someone who will help you win, look no further than @BraunerHolden. DMs are open if you’re interested.
