Being on the bench is not a setback—it's a setup for success. If you're on the sideline, you're not just waiting your turn; you're preparing to make your turn count.     When it’s your time to step up, you don’t just want to be ready—you want to be better.

Spoke with a NBA exec & he told me that the last 6 NBA mvps were all foreign players. He said they work on their skills/practice 5 days a week and play 1 game a week. While we in the USA will play 5 times a week and practice/skillwork once a week.Makes perfect sense#mustbeskilled

Coach K said, "A common mistake among those who work in sport is spending a disproportional amount of time on ”x’s and o’s” as compared to time spent learning about people." Coaching is a people business. It about relationships. What is the #1 coaching hack? Players, Not Plays! It is about the “Jimmy’s and the Joe’s, not the X’s and the O’s.” One of the most important jobs of being a coach, is managing the people. You have so many unique personalities and perspectives that you were trying to get together to work as one. This is the ultimate challenge of coaching.

Most coaches won’t repost this because what he is talking about is what they allow.
Geno Auriemma was asked how every single player on his team is so enthusiastic. He gave an answer that every young athlete should hear 👏
