Sometimes CPTSD means you need reassurance so badly, but asking for it feels embarrassing because somewhere along the way you learned that having emotional needs made you a burden.

For the sake of your sanity you cannot afford to reconcile with people who have not acknowledged how they mistreated you.

When you truly love someone, you learn to wait without resentment. Real love doesn't rush, doesn't demand, doesn't force a season to end before it's ready. Sometimes the person you love needs time to heal, to grow, to find their way back to themselves and real love makes room for that, without turning it into guilt. Waiting isn't standing still. It's holding faith in something strong enough to survive silence, distance, even doubt. What's truly yours will never be lost. It only returns when both hearts are finally ready to hold it.
