Canada needs to start making our own appliances again. Automation and robotics. Smaller niche factories. We used to make them when we had a third of the population. My mom still has her Inglis dryer.

Serious question - Is Canadian public opinion now a serious impediment to getting a deal done with the United States? The more I think about it and talk to folks in industry, associations, and inside government, it feels like the government has put itself into a corner.
