from the very beginning, when i first met Mae, her passion for music and singing was incredible... when i got to listen to her covers, i was SO excited to see what the future had in store for us as a group!!
anyone who listens to Mae’s singing can attest to the fact that she puts her heart and raw emotion into every sentence. she painstakingly learns the meaning of the japanese lyrics and interprets the song in her own way, performing it as her story.... as a long time utaite fan, THIS alone shows someone's skill and passion!
throughout our (almost) two years together in Aegis-Link, Mae has carried us through so many music projects, from lyric-writing to even writing an original song for Lan... (which everyone needs to check out, NYAO). seeing Mae being recognised by big figures in the scene feels SO incredibly gratifying and victorious 🥹

this is an opportunity beyond my wildest dreams. before i started vtubing, i lost all my passion for singing and gave up on it for years… i really really thought it wasn’t meant for me and now that i’m a part of something bigger, i could almost burst into tears.
i came into this space having no hopes or dreams to become a singer, a musician, or an idol… i faced so much rejection to the point where it didn’t even sting anymore. i just wanted to let go of the pressure of wanting to be good enough so i can have fun again… and i did!
i fell back in love with the anime, games, and music i used to be obsessed with when i was a kid and also fell in love with the process of learning how to create for myself and not others… but maybe i’m starting to find my dream again too. is it really ok for me to have a dream again? i’m really glad i gave myself another chance and i hope i can inspire people to do the same.
someone once told me: your time will come when you are ready to receive it… and i think i understand that now. i know that many were vying to be a part of this but please never give up hope! never compare your journey to someone else’s because we’re all in very different chapters of our lives. keep going and create the work that YOU want to see! i think i’m ready. i’m so grateful for this opportunity and will work hard everyday to put my entire heart and soul into this project!
