Minaj joined Dear Leader at his rally in Port Huron, Michigan, and urged voters to back Republicans in the November 3 midterms. She promised to support him “forever and ever.” He even told her to stand up so the crowd could get a good look. She also went on Lara Trump’s Fox show to tell young people to “vote red.” Small problem. Minaj was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and in a 2024 livestream she said it herself: “I’m not a citizen of America.” In January, she posted that she was working on her citizenship paperwork thanks to her “wonderful, gracious, charming President.” Ten months later, she still hasn’t said she finished. Green card holders can’t vote in federal elections. Now remember the meltdown over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. Jake Paul called him a “fake American citizen.” Turning Point USA put on a whole Kid Rock show so MAGA wouldn’t have to watch him. Of course, it flopped. Bad Bunny was born in Puerto Rico. People born in Puerto Rico have been U.S. citizens since 1917. So the actual American citizen was too foreign for them, while the woman who said she isn’t one gets a microphone to tell you how to vote. Citizenship only matters to MAGA when you’re not clapping for the Toddler-in-Chief.
