You obviously get a different feeling when you watch a game on TV, or from the stadium.

That Russell shot between cover and long-on might be the hardest-hit shot ever played at the TU Ground. I was watching on TV yesterday rather than being at the ground, and the ball was gone in a flash.
He also hit another straight shot, which was equally quick. We didn't get to watch Afridi bat in 2021; otherwise, we might have witnessed his incredible bat speed as well.
Russell is undoubtedly among the hardest hitters the game has seen in the 21st century.
This has to be photo of NPL 3 so far.
There will always be two sides to every story.
Biratnagar Kings will admit that they made far too many mistakes and allowed the Yaks to stay in the game. Basir dropped Aariful, who went on to score 32 off just 12 balls, when he was yet to open his account. There were a few other dropped catches and misfields as well.
From the Yaks' perspective, however, they won those crucial little moments in the first innings. Sompal Kami dismissed both Mathews and Russell in the same over. Nandan Yadav bowled three consecutive dot balls in the final over. Sompal was promoted ahead of Gulshan and kept attacking. The plan turned out to be perfect. Sompal later credited the decision to Karnali Yaks coach Gyanendra Malla.
In a close T20 finish, all those little moments count. The climax almost brought back memories of Sompal and Karan's batting against Scotland last year, when Nepal won one thriller and lost the other.
Sompal Kami had one hell of a game as a cricketer. It was the kind of performance every cricketer or all-rounder dreams of producing. Across all T20 matches with official status, this is only the second time a player has taken a four-wicket haul and scored a fifty on Nepali soil. I am sure it won't be hard to guess who the first player was.
The two teams have had contrasting starts to the tournament. Where do Biratnagar Kings go from here? Karnali Yaks, meanwhile, have certainly bounced back from their torrid campaign last season.
Highest successful chases in the NPL
Biratnagar (Won by 2 wickets, chasing 192 against Lumbini )
Karnali (won by 4 wickets, chasing 187 against Biratnagar )
Janakpur (won by 5 wickets, chasing 185 against Sudurpaschim )
Janakpur (won by 6 wickets, chasing 177 against Chitwan)
Biratnagar Kings
Can't score 26 off 26
Can't defend 187 when the opposition were 57-5

Terrible fielding from Biratnagar Kings. This game shouldn't have reached this far from 57-5.

Andrew Leonard to Hd Ackerman. "I am surprised. There is a South African who understands DLS".
This is some serious sledging now. 😜🔥
Uff, Rain, tight game, DLS, and commentary of Hd Ackerman. Oh, we are loving this game, right?

Andrew Leonard wears glasses, but he has eagle eyes (as said by hd Ackerman). That should have been no ball, as Charith Asalanka was outside the 30-yard circle when Mathews delivered the ball. The umpire failed to spot him.

All @Angelo69Mathews is doing is jogging. He has taken 3 wickets so far. Using all his experience. Any time he takes 3 wickets. It reminds me of his 3-wicket in the first over in the T20 WC Semi-final against WI.

Highest Total in NPL 1 - Biratnagar Kings 193/8
Highest Total in NPL 2 - Biratnagar Kings 220/6

That was a proper contest between Sompal Kami and Andre Russell. Kami had the last laugh after dismissing Russell.

Gem from Lokesh Bam. This is the second-highest individual score by a Nepali batter in NPL History.
Also, the second-most sixes (12) hit by a batter in an innings, behind Mark Watt's 12 sixes.

After the England game in the T20 WC, Lokesh Bam has started playing the paddle and reverse sweep more frequently. He admitted that he could have tried different shots instead of waiting for the one bad ball from Sam Curran.
Thanks to Ravi Bopara. Dawid Malan and Graeme Swann have landed in Nepal as player and commentator.
We owe you, Ravi Bopara. 🙏♥️
If I remember because of @KevinOBrien113 , we got @CricketBadge.
91/5 in 14 Overs. Thought 130-140 was ON. Kathmandu Gorkhas got only 115. Advantage Jankapur Bolts now.

"Rahul Yadav is in Wonderland." - Andrew Leonard
Another wicket for the youngster.
