Just think… the SNP … 20 years in power… taking your £9.99 monthly Direct Debit all that time
& not one inch of progress on independence
All your money spent on leaflets, Le Creuset dishes and Nicola’s jewellery
No viable economic plan, Swinney has no secret plan
Gullible mugs - that’s you and your ilk

The Scottish Government has spent the day claiming a “real terms cut of £650m” to excuse their own domestic fiscal incompetence. Now, independent experts at the Fraser of Allander Institute and SPICe have stepped in to confirm Westminster is actually delivering a “total of £600 million more in funding for the Scottish Budget between 2026-27 and 2029-30”.
Yet, they are openly lying to the Scottish public by framing it as a cut to justify your own disastrous budget mismanagement.
Lara Bird claims she was 'representing her constituents' by trying to illegally enter Palestine. 🙈
Absolutely batshit crazy.

Lara Bird, SNP MP for Arbroath and Broughty Ferry.
In Arbroath, over 30% ranked in Scotland’s most deprived 20% for crime, income and employment.
26.2% of under-16s there lived in relative low-income families in 2022–23, versus a Scotland average of 17.8%.
Across the constituency roughly 10,000 households are in poverty.
Education in Angus: Primary literacy was about 78.8% in 2024–25. For pupils in the most deprived SIMD quintile it was around 65%.
The question her constituents can reasonably ask is why her time, energy and public profile are being spent on a distant conflict
while local waiting lists, child poverty rates, high-street decline and attainment gaps in Arbroath and Broughty Ferry remain unaddressed after years of SNP control of the powers that actually shape those outcomes.
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

This is not a diplomatic crisis; it is the inevitable result of politicians playing pretend foreign ministers. These “British elected representatives” flew thousands of miles to stage a photo-op in a conflict zone, completely outside their official remit.
Demanding the UK Government step in and “condemns this in the strongest possible terms” because two minor politicians got exactly what they were looking for, a brief detention at a border to generate Twitter clout, is absolute arrogance.
They are not sovereign diplomats on official UK Government business. If you fly to a war zone for a PR stunt, do not cry when you get turned away.

An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week.
Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461.
This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc.
This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed.
It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them.
What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%!
We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons.
This will not end well.

The UK political class are spooked. They have gotton in over their heads with Ukraine/Russia and can't see an easy exit. The evidence: the 'conscription' drive, the '1000 days' to prepare for war, the 'provisions for three days' etc. All of this kite flying is to test the waters...
But having betrayed the Great British public over and over again, taxed them to the hilt, they now discover the public, especially the young won't fight for them.
They are frightened old men (and women) and they are lashing out but only have themselves to blame.

Astounding Sunday Times investigation reveals new scandal in SNP’s Socialist Scotland:
800 NHS, central government, council and quango workers whose jobs no longer exist but remain on the public payroll because of the SNP’s ‘no public-sector redundancy’ policy.
Estimated cost of paying people to do nothing: £27m a year.
One NHS Highland worker has been receiving a full salary and benefits for 17 years despite not having a specific job.
The health board refused to say what the worker had been doing for almost two decades and how much they had been paid.
Likely cost to the taxpayer is expected to be far higher with several public bodies refusing to disclose salaries for hundreds of the workers awaiting redeployment.

Claire Fox well and truly put Stella Creasy in her place during a fiery clash on Politics Live.
Stella was doing the usual thing of virtue-signalling and accusing others of dog-whistling simply for suggesting the riots in France might have something to do with immigration and a lack of integration. Not the whole story, but a real part of it. Claire gave her both barrels.
Stella claimed: “You are denigrating a community like mine where we have a diverse community.”
Claire pointed out that she has actually read a wide range of French media to understand what is happening. Stella was citing Le Monde. Claire noted that is the equivalent of a British commentator citing only the Guardian.
There is a serious conversation to be had about what is happening in France, Claire said. Young people there appear not to care about the country. They happily smash it up and destroy historic buildings. It is not only about immigration, she made clear, but to claim there is no element of this connected to immigration and the lack of integration of young immigrants is simply missing the point.
If we are going to have a frank and open discussion, she argued, you must at least acknowledge that it is complicated and that there is a massive argument underway among people on many sides.
Claire then told Stella she clearly had no real grasp of the debate because she had only read Le Monde rather than a broad range of French commentators on the left and the right. Stella claimed she had. Claire replied that in that case she would know that many French voices have said the lack of integration of many migrant communities has contributed to this.
Stella just sat there smug, sniping dismissively.
Claire finished by saying that the idea you cannot understand there are tensions in this country around the lack of integration in some migrant communities would be a serious mistake.
Well said, @Fox_Claire. This is the reality. Politicians like Stella who stick their heads in the sand and attack anyone who raises these very real problems do tremendous harm. What is happening in France could happen here. The problem is growing in this country, not getting better.
These conversations need to happen.

Reminder: whatever he might claim today, this is what John Swinney said in February 2025. He welcomed the court’s decision to block Jackdaw, calling it “the only sustainable judgment you can arrive at in considering these questions”.
