Letting people with severe mental illness and addiction rot and die on the street and completely dominate the public realm is not a progressive ideal. The families that rely on transit, libraries, parks and streets deserve safe, clean, comfortable, corpse free spaces.
It wasn't too long that the equipment to do this scanning and the software to do the analysis were both "Contact Sales For A Quote" and now you can get a decent scanner for like $1k and the software is free I LOVE THE FUTURE
My latest free tool, ScanRuler.com, can automatically reverse-engineer your 3D Scans! Just tell your AI agent to connect to the ScanRuler MCP give it an stl and tell it to reverse engineer it. A detailed video and a custom skill will be released in the next few days!

Still thinking about this post. Human creative innovation is not spontaneous but is actually a byproduct of solving problems. Art deco (for example) was not some randomly-inspired force of will to create beauty; it happened because metallurgy became just advanced enough to create everything out of metal, and because zoning laws required skyscrapers to have a stepped shape at the top.
This is why top-down efforts at changing our civilizational aesthetic (like those guys building the giant Greek statues) donโt work. They donโt change the โproblemโ weโre solving as a civilization, which is the actual source of the bleak & dreary surroundings we find ourselves in
Oh noooooo property owners having the freedom to do what they want with their property oh noooooo whatever will we do???

In Toronto, more people are killed and injured by vehicles than from violent crimes. Anyone who claims to be a champion of safety, but who isn't advocating for safer roads, is just fear mongering or dog whistling.
At some point in the past few years I realized that airport lounges are rarely worth it. Food is pretty mid and unless you travel extremely frequently the cost premium of credit cards with access doesn't pay off. They only make sense if you're an alcoholic.
