According to a statement from Atiku, INEC is contracting private companies to print (sensitive) electoral materials in the 2027 elections.
The Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc (NSPMC), the legal body responsible for printing electoral materials, will print materials for only 15 to 17 states. The rest of the states will be outsourced to private companies.
Atiku alleged that one of the companies to get the contract could be HiTech, the company belonging to Gilbert Chagoury, President Tinubu’s friend.
Are Nigerians really paying attention to these worrisome developments?✍️
