Elbridge Colby loves Putin and Russia even more than Trump does. He made sure NATO allies Britain, France, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania weren't invited to a NATO meeting. Moscow's divide-and-conquer war against the West is embodied in this Quisling. politico.com/news/2026/09/30…

This is beginning to feel like the start of a rebellion.
Lib Dem MP Vikki Slade on Bluesky: "Most millennials don’t think there will be a state pension when they retire so this isn’t being done with them in mind. Pensioners will gain more from free social care than a linking rise of state pension to earnings Proud of triple lock in coalition but we must plan for future not venerate the past." Ed Davey facing a full-blown revolt.

🚨 Buried beneath all the talk of a divided Cabinet is the explosive admission from one senior minister: “If we want to grow the economy then we have to rejoin, we all know that.” And, even more significantly: “It is not ‘if’ but ‘how’ we do it.” That is the real story - the argument inside government is no longer about whether Brexit has failed, but how Britain begins reversing it and how explicitly Labour puts that choice before the country. Even Ed Miliband, whose constituency voted 72% Leave, says that will not stop him doing the right thing. The Brexit cat i out of the bag and running through the Cabinet. 🇬🇧🇪🇺
👏 @Ed_Miliband shows real leadership in @andyburnham cabinet. His Doncaster constituency voted 72% Leave, yet he has said that will not stop him doing the right thing on Brexit. That is what political leadership looks like: putting the long-term interests of the country before the safest calculation for your own re-election. Cabinet ministers have a moral responsibility to confront the evidence, tell the truth and act in the national interest, even when doing so carries a personal political risk. 👏 After a decade of cowardice and denial over Brexit, that courage should be recognised and applauded. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

Putin now instructs Trump as to who is allowed at NATO meetings.
Politico: The Trump administration is leaving several major NATO allies out of a gathering next month in Poland, after previously threatening to use a “naughty and nice list” for governments that run afoul of Trump’s priorities. The UK, France and the Baltic countries are among those not invited, despite being major defense spenders and key NATO members.

Absolutely disgraceful this @SecGenNATO @NATO
Ripping apart NATO for his Russian master, Trump says the UK, the Baltics and France are not allowed to attend next month's NATO summit in Poland. A reminder, the Baltics are next on Putin's list and all 3 cannot attend.

If the Baltic states, the UK and France are not invited to discuss the state of NATO with the USA, then the other European NATO states should refuse to attend as well. European security needs to be seen as a whole, only Putin (and Trump) wants to divide it up. politico.com/news/2026/09/30…

🇬🇧🇪🇺 Should the UK Rejoin the EU? ❓ A recent poll shows a majority of Britons now support rejoining the European Union. 📊 🔹 59% would vote to rejoin the EU 🔹 32% would vote to stay out ➡️ A +27% net support for EU membership 🏛️ By party: 🔹 Greens (Greens/EFA), Labour (S&D), and Lib Dem (Renew) voters show strong support for rejoining 🔹 Conservatives (ECR) and Reform voters remain strongly opposed ⚠️ Important context: While support for rejoining is clear, polls also show Britons are against rejoining if it means giving up past opt-outs. At the same time, polls show that EU citizens oppose the UK rejoining if those opt-outs are kept, making the path back far more complex. 🤔 Should the UK rejoin the EU? 👇 And should they keep their previous Opt Outs? #UK #EU #Brexit #RejoinEU #EUMS
