Crushing it!
My heart 💕is grateful to you all. Thank you for joining us despite so many other competing #sftechweek events we had a long line and full room! Thank you @i_zerbib and @Bencera for your wisdom. More importantly thank you to my team for making this possible. Good, bad, and pretty takeaways of the solo founder journey- -We learned that solo founder surround themselves with many agents, contractors, and senior executives. -Staying solo for experienced founders allows them to move fast -Most successful solo founders are high functioning self starters -Solo founders live in founder mode at all times -Delegation / time off is tricky. They feel guilty taking time off -You do need capital with to hire good talent around you -Without strong intuition you can keep launching failed products & never know when to pivot or what pmf is and noone to push back on you -Marketing as solo founder is tough and lot of experiments -You have to do all jobs at the company to learn how to hire -If you figure this out you can run a well oiled machine, make fast decisions, and change directions really fast.

Always a fascinating read. Need to start monitoring TA's more closely 🙂 Bravo to the @ExceptionalCap team on another great report! @Marell
The 2026 Exceptional 100 is now live! 🚀 For the third year in a row, we are spotlighting 100 standout engineering and product builders at some of the fastest-growing companies in tech. These are the people architecting high-impact internal infrastructure and shipping key features and products daily. View the full list at: exceptional100.com Fun facts: Exceptional has funded 3 founders from prior years, and members of past cohorts have gone on to raise over +$2B in total funding! Beyond the list, the report covers our analysis of what the data shows regarding today's top technical talent: → Geography and education → Roles, skills, and personal attributes that stand out → Emerging trends shaping the talent landscape → How talent is moving between companies, and into founding teams → Talent migration for prior cohorts Huge congratulations to everyone on this year's list! And remember, if you have a high conviction idea, reach out to us any time, we want to be your first supporters! @TheNestVC @Marell @grahaminhoo @fresco_inferno

Exceptional 100 alpha just dropped 🔥 Founders, this talent pool is about to be aggressively recruited. Everyone talks about founders. Far fewer pay attention to the people behind them who actually help companies scale.
We study hundreds of datasets around one question: What makes someone exceptional? That’s the idea behind Exceptional 100. Each year, we identify 100 exceptional people and study the attributes, experiences, and communities that shaped them. Our hypothesis is simple: exceptional people may look completely different, but their trajectories leave signals. We’re building a living knowledge graph to understand those signals. Where exceptional people come from, how communities shape them, and how to identify them earlier. Because communities expire and evolve. The networks producing tomorrow’s outliers won’t necessarily be the ones producing today’s. Ultimately, we want to build a marketplace around human potential: identify exceptional people early, connect with them, and give others the opportunity to back their trajectory. Exceptional 100 is the starting point. Go check who made the list this year. exceptionalcap.com/exception…
