She's a degree educated person. How does someone like that really get things so wrong? Why don't they educate themselves on the PPE they've been asked to wear or the medical issues they work with (Covid & LC) - both with patients & friends/colleagues daily? I'm dumbfounded 3/3

It's sad being the smartest person in the room when you're seeking help from someone who should know more than you. But this is what we get. Nurses who have zero understand of PPE or an ongoing pandemic. This is healthcare now. The stupidity is painful. The outcomes are tragic.

Yesterday, in the city I live, there was a disability focused literary reading that did not even recommend masking. I was invited to participate, but then advocated for universal masking and got disinvited (that is, left on read).

What’s more important is that the virus that caused her symptoms was Covid. We have massive waves of Covid every year, causing mass disability from cradle to grave (we are in one now!) & no-one is interested in preventing further harm from repeat infection - absolutely bonkers!

JUST IN: Fridges and freezers at some supermarkets in Belgium, Luxembourg and Sweden were hacked overnight.
Hackers changed the temperature settings to as high as 70°C (158°F), causing food to spoil.
The damage is expected to run into the millions.

So apparently nothing has been learned from The Covid Inquiry. They are choosing to use the wrong mask for the job. Surgical masks may help slightly but they certainly won’t prevent the spread of airborne winter illnesses like Covid, RSV, flu etc.
I'm looking forward to hosting my extended family's 7th annual online-so-risk-free 'Famalam Festive Fun' with a quiz, songs and games. Given we're spread across 7 locations and 2 continents, it's easier, cheaper and deffo preferable to infectious in person gatherings 🤧🤮
