If the SAVE America Act and codified executive orders haven’t passed yet, look at Senate dynamics—Thune and the usual procedural games with Schumer’s side have stalled things. That’s a legislative failure, not evidence that Trump wants the old chaos back. On fuel: oil is a global commodity. Prices spiked because of a temporary global supply shock, not some domestic conspiracy. Trump has been pushing to resolve it. If Iran succeeds in mining shipping lanes, demanding protection money, and forcing tankers to idle without insurance, those prices stay high or go higher. The alternative isn’t magically cheap gas; it’s worse disruption. Meanwhile the broader economy is strengthening—manufacturing is expanding, key indicators are moving the right direction after years of decay. What took decades to erode doesn’t get fully rebuilt in 18 months. Pretending otherwise, or acting like Trump should have already delivered perfection while fighting Congress, courts, and entrenched bureaucracy, is toddler-level analysis. People claim they’re “voting their pocketbook” as an excuse not to turn out, yet the data shows things moving in the right direction.
