Every morning, an old woman sat outside a bakery counting coins. One day, a little boy noticed she never had enough to buy bread. He started leaving half of his lunch beside her without saying a word. Weeks passed. Then one Monday, the boy arrived at school and found his mother crying. She had lost her job, and there was no money for his school fees. That afternoon, the old woman showed up at their door. She was the owner of the bakery. She had found out who the boy was and why he had been helping her. “I came to repay a kindness,” she told his mother. The boy thought he was feeding a hungry woman. He never knew he was planting hope for his own family. Never underestimate a small act of kindness.
