I can no longer be on Twitter. Musk’s decision to actively support Russia in murdering innocent civilians in Ukraine is the main reason but his support of other conspiracy theories is also a factor. I have a presence where the Sky is blue. Will miss the people here.
For all you spider lovers, I evicted a lady last night and I had to get her to tuck her legs in to get into the 3inch (7.5cm) wide glass. Biggest one I have seen in the house for quite a while.
I notice that Musk is now talking about charging everyone to continue to use Twitter. There are a few of us over on Bluesky. Why not join us? I would prefer to jump rather than wait to be pushed.
Thanks (I think) to @GloverGareth for the links to French fortifications in the Pyrenees (Peninsular war) This is something I will have to follow up to compare with the Lines of Torres Vedras. Before I start does anyone know of published works on these defences?

Is there any consensus on where we are all going when this idiot completely messes up Twitter? I have mastodon and Spoutible and waiting for Bluesky invite. Threads needs whatsApp and I really don’t want another app.
I see a couple of you have already followed my ‘Military Matters’ list. I am trying to see if I get less unsolicited adverts if I use a list. I am getting loads of spam adverts at the moment. The list will be a mix of Napoleonic and current military.
This is the view from my computer as I write about the siege of San Sebastián. I might make this my permanent writing position.
