So sad to lose our friend Colin. Will never forgot those tragic moments sat with you before the game at Elland Road. I hope that all join in the tribute on the 68th min on Saturday at #lufc . My prayers and love with your family and all your friends. May you rest in peace. #alaw
Leeds United are heartbroken to learn of the passing of supporter Colin Westby at the age of 68.
Colin suffered a medical emergency ahead of our Premier League fixture with Manchester United on Sunday 18 October at Elland Road.
After being transferred to hospital, he was placed into a medically induced coma and sadly following a period of unresponsiveness, the decision was made to withdraw life support.
Colin was a long-standing Season Ticket Holder at the club, attending matches for over 50 years.
The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with Colinโs family and friends at this sad time.
We will pay tribute to Colin in the 68th minute of our next Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur, on Saturday 7 November.

Ahead of our Premier League fixture with Manchester United at Elland Road, there was a medical emergency involving a Leeds United supporter.
Following a quick response from fellow supporters, stewards and medics, the individual was transferred to hospital via ambulance, where they now remain in a critical condition.
The club is grateful for the rapid action of our stewards and medical support team and appreciates the many notes of interest and support that have been sent in the past 24 hours.
Everyone at Leeds United joins the broader community in sending our well wishes to the individual and their family at this difficult time.

Properly rubbish the club still have to put these messages out in 2026 but here we are.
This fixture in 2025 was also blighted by homophobic comments by own fans.
All Leeds, Arenโt We? Your words matter.

Ahead of today's fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium, Leeds United would like to remind supporters that we have a zero-tolerance policy towards the use of any homophobic or discriminatory language, chanting, abuse or gestures and condemn this behaviour.
Following an incident of discrimination in March 2023, in our Premier League fixture at Elland Road, the club was fined ยฃ150,000 and provided with an FA Action Plan to help improve supporter behaviour moving forwards and try to prevent recurrences.
Sadly in 2026, homophobia has still not been fully eradicated. By taking part in discrimination, you could be committing a criminal offence and will face lengthy club ban, so please think about your actions and the consequences both individually and for the club.
Leeds United stewards will be present at Saturdayโs fixture, and any form of discrimination should be immediately reported to your nearest steward. You can also report incidents via Brightonโs text line at 07880 196442.
All Leeds, arenโt we?

We hope ๐๐ฝ the *reported* increase in homophobia in footy is because more people are finally getting that it's wrong, and are prepared to call it out.
Or maybe it actually IS getting worse?
This is why we have to keep on doing what we do.
