The 'Nolte 36': The story of 36 cousins from one Minnesota family who served in WWII with humility and hope
Author Paul Wessel spoke with Liz Collin about "The Nolte 36" — the almost unbelievable story of the 36 cousins in his family who served in World War II and survived.
His book, "They All Came Home," explains how they served with humility, honor, and a sense of honest values during one of the most challenging times in our nation's history.
Wessel spoke about how his relatives immigrated from Germany and settled in Fairmont, Minn., in the late 1800s. Their descendants would later serve in WWII and survived more than a few harrowing moments during the war. One of his relatives flew more than 30 missions over France and Germany as a B-24 bomber pilot — and was hit with flack during his last one.
“I think at this point in our country we're looking for hope. We're looking for models that we can reflect on and say, what does integrity look like? What does humility look like?" Wessel said.

Thank you for tuning in for my Election Day thoughts!
I hope you'll go to the polls today and vote for a national ban on 14 slot golf bags.
Unless you want the terrorists to win.
Thank you for your support!

What I see:
(And surely what every PING competitor is talking about in R&D this morning.)
G450 photos just dropped on the conforming list, and the "Fastflex" feature looks a lot like the TaylorMade "Speedpocket."
This is a signature patent-protected feature for TM, so the PING version raises questions:
-Is the channel a full cut thru like TM? (see img 2)
-Does it perform, or is it mostly there to mimic?
-Does it dodge TM's patents in some way?
-Did TM license the patent to PING? (seems unlikely, too important)
Well
We are putting the course to bed for the winter
Was a great summer and a amazing fall
Can’t wait to see it grow in even more next year and firm up more
Of to the barn and the simulators till April
Don’t know what is more frustrating
Bad bowling or bad golf @TCUSBC

Mr. Musk, please watch my documentary on portions of Minneapolis. I am trying to explain how this happened… and why.
nitter.cf/becka_thompson/status/…
We're just going to do this here now. You're welcome.
I wish I could say something pithy. I've been stressed out all day. I think this is important, not for me but for those who literally lost everything. For those who lost their children and their lives and their livelihoods.
I will never let people forget what happened here until we fix it. Never.
If you find this work important, please like/share/follow/subscribe. I have links for donations for myself and Edwin with the business owners.
This is more than a story of slighted businesses. It is the story of what a society is willing to sacrifice to the alter of an ideology. It's time to save Minneapolis. But first we have to be honest about what we've done. #truth #Minneapolis #film
I give you "Square of Deceit" the aftermath of 38th and Chicago.

Earlier this year I was made aware of the plight of the business owners at 38th and Chicago, sometimes called “George Floyd Square”.
After talking with many of them, I started digging into all the money and resolutions that have gone to and come out of that space since 2020.
What I discovered could very easily be described as scandalous.
But you be the judge.
80 minute documentary of my research drops at 7pm tonight on YouTube and on X.
(I hardly have any followers on YT… if you’re so inclined, it’s @thebeckashow )
I’m also trying to help the business owners keep afloat in any way from all they’ve lost. Here is a link to my friend Edwin’s book:

I have been nervous to release this and it sat in digital dust since July… but let’s just say I felt called to do it anyway.
We are not measured by what we do when it is easy, we are measured by what we can accomplish for good, even when we are afraid.
7pm.
Thank you.
