On Saturday, my mom Nelda Travis passed away after a 17-month battle with mixed acinar-neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare form of pancreatic cancer. She was 65.
She was the most loving & caring person I have ever known, a single mother who sacrificed everything to enrich my life.
So...the Padres would have swept this if a home run ball didn't hit a cable on the roof in Game 1 and if they didn't use their closer for two innings in Game 2.
She couldn’t have released that song a month ago?
Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” has bumped Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” out of the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Following the Langley song, which fell just one slot to No. 2, Swift owns the next three positions, with “Cleveland!,” “Babylon” and “Pink Clouding” landing at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively.

“Hey Grok, thoughts on a nuke?”
“Absolutely! Let me get those nuclear codes ready for you.
*Cogitating*
“Done. The warheads are en route to Moscow now.”

Victor Wembanyama does not "get it."
He gets what you want him to say. He knows what he's supposed to say to align with the media consensus.
He wants you to love him. He hasn't expressed an authentic thought in his entire career and it's bizarre that people can't see this.
Cowardly, as usual.
It's unbelievable how many times I have seen this one particular actor and instinctively say "Oh, that's the priest from True Detective" without ever learning his name. I just realized that half the time I've been seeing a totally different guy (Shea Wingham/Steve Zahn).
Drag him Bono.
Bono reveals that Ed Sheeran didn’t want to get into politics when collaborating with U2 on a song that features Ukrainian singer Taras Topolia, who served in the army following the Russian invasion:
“When we did ‘Yours Eternally,’ he was saying, ‘You’re not going to get me into politics, are you?’ And I said, ‘This soldier who inspired us, he loved you Ed and you’ve worked on this song.’ [He responded], ‘Yeah, but I just want to keep my thing free.’”

Messi genes so good both Argentina and Barcelona immediately spawned a worthy offspring once he left.
Baseball’s disparity between the length of the regular season and the length of the shortest postseason stay is crazy. There are basically never any two game series on the schedule. It’d be like one of the play-in teams in the NBA getting eliminated at halftime.
I take immense pleasure watching his career burn in flames. The least self-aware individual on the planet.
The ego on the Boingo employees to say they didn't know who Kawhi was.
Kawhi Leonard, despite claiming to have no knowledge of his camp's deals to circumvent the salary cap, appeared alongside Uncle Dennis and friend/Raptors assistant Jeremy Castleberry at an event for Boingo Wireless where he received $600K for just an hour of signings, per @pablofindsout.
Boingo’s internal emails showed its own employees questioning who Leonard was and wondering why the meet-and-greet had been hurriedly arranged. The photos from the event were never posted by Boingo, Leonard, or the Clippers.

$116 million isn’t worth this, Chef.
Unbelievable marketing from Adidas to buy the first ad after Brunson’s SNL monologue for the Ant comedian sketch, which features a Brunson dig in it.
Hard to believe this isn’t a Heidecker bit.
