A little fall pick-me-up from our furry friends! 🐾 Our pet therapy dogs recently stopped by to brighten the day for staff. Their visits bring comfort and smiles to so many throughout the hospital.

@Massgovernor Maura Healey has proclaimed October 4th as TEN-4 Day in Massachusetts to stress the importance of recognizing concerning bruising and injuries on infants and young children and to keep nonaccidental injury at the forefront of each person’s mind when interacting with or treating injured children.

Fuel the Care helps to bridge the distance between home and hospital for Mass General Brigham for Children patients and their families. The program provides hospitals across New England, Eastern Canada, and Ireland with fuel gift cards to support families traveling for their child’s medical care. Remembering Paul Russell, MD, a pioneering surgeon whose groundbreaking work helped transform organ transplantation.
Dr. Russell performed his first kidney transplant in 1963, when the procedure was often fatal. Through his innovations and dedication to his patients, he helped make organ transplantation safer and more effective, changing the lives of countless people.

In our Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Training Program, students learn to identify findings like Mott cells, plasma cells filled with immunoglobulin inclusions. These can be linked to multiple myeloma, plasma cell disorders, chronic inflammation and certain infections.
