I want this for Steam.
itch.io has unfortunately, much like Steam, long had an issue with genAI content being uploaded in droves, drowning out perfectly good games made by human hands. bit.ly/4ectbff

That's not a nice thing to say because AAA games are definitely not audacious and some might be technically complex but their gameplay is very simple.

That's dumb as hell because it cannot be true. Something happened.
After fans thought they might've seen V, Cyberpunk 2077's protagonist, in the anime, the showrunner has confirmed that none of the RPG's endings are "canon" in the show. kotaku.com/cyberpunk-edgerun…

Actually, it's totally fair to ask exorbitant prices. But it's also totally fair to be opportunistic and point out you offer a more affordable alternative. It's the market baby! You, the customer, got options and that's GOOD!
i do not think it is a flex to show how much you lowball your own work to shit on someone else's prices

“Why are people upset my adaptation did not adapt the source material?”
Zach Cregger says he was frustrated that the conversation surrounding his ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ film had nothing to do with the film. “It had to do with whether the movie was living up to the different standards that different fans of the games had… it was just a lot about ‘why isn’t this like the source material?’ OR ‘why is it good that it’s not like the source material?’ (Source: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…)

What Tim means is that it’s holding HIM back. Back from the success he thinks he deserves.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney says Valve "has held gaming back for years." Sweeney was replying to Kiaran Ritchie, a former principal animation programmer at Epic, who criticized Steam's 30% cut and said "You could vibe code a Steam alternative in a week." Sweeney wrote that Valve locks developers' PC games into "Steamworks' social walled garden where players can't talk to other players on iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or even other PC stores." A community note was added saying many games use Steamworks only for authentication to allow crossplay and handle the rest themselves. Sweeney called the note "fake," saying Steam Datagram Relay "isn't related to the things I cited: social, and players talking to each other across platforms." Source: @pcgamer
