Why do we all support Doris Matsui? She gets things done. She helped craft the ACA; lowered the cost of Rx; fought against Trump/ICE; worked to make housing/groceries more affordable & fixed our levees. She spent her career looking out for us. It's why we need her in Congress.
What a wonderful evening yesterday in Oak Park.
The 40 Acres Block Party brought together neighbors, families, community leaders, and friends from across Sacramento to celebrate Juneteenth and honor the rich history and contributions of our Black community.
There was so much joy, energy, and sense of community throughout the evening. Thank you to my dear friend Cassandra Jennings and everyone who helped make this celebration so special.
I had a wonderful time at Sacramento’s Juneteenth Festival today!
Every year, it’s a beautiful testament to the strength, resilience, and enduring contributions of our region's Black community. It brings neighbors together not only to honor the history and significance of Juneteenth, but to celebrate the people who continue to shape Sacramento every day.
Today we broke ground on Sacramento’s Last Mile Broadband Internet Access Expansion Project, bringing high-speed internet to thousands of families in underserved neighborhoods.
Broadband connects people to jobs, education, health care, and opportunity. That’s why I’ve fought to secure historic investments to close the digital divide. Now we’re turning that work into results.
Small businesses are the backbone of Elk Grove’s economy, and they deserve a representative who will fight for them.
Was great to spend time with the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce to discuss the future of workforce development, small-business growth, and how I can leverage the power of Congress to help local employers navigate economic uncertainty.
I am fighting to equip workers with the skills to succeed, give small businesses the tools to grow, and expand economic opportunity for every family in Elk Grove.
Building a clean energy future requires more than setting ambitious goals. It requires investing in the communities that will make it happen.
That’s why I’ve worked to secure federal resources to support our local leaders like SMUD and why I was proud to join them at the Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation today to celebrate their new all-electric kitchen.
SASF has long been a cornerstone of our community, and SMUD continues to set the standard for clean energy leadership. Together, they’re demonstrating how local partnerships can deliver real progress for our region’s families.
Agriculture is a cornerstone of our region’s economy and way of life.
Thank you to the California Association of Winegrape Growers for today’s vineyard tour and thoughtful discussion. As growers navigate economic uncertainty, workforce challenges, and a changing climate, I'll keep working to protect the future of agriculture in our region.
Marched and celebrated Sacramento Pride today alongside my dear friends at the Sacramento Stonewall Democrats and West Sacramento Democrats.
Pride is a celebration of love, visibility, and the countless advocates who have fought to ensure our LGBTQI+ community can live openly and authentically. It’s a reminder that we must stand together to protect and build on that progress.
Happy Pride, Sacramento! 🌈
Grateful to the Dreams Unlimited Foundation for bringing the Elk Grove Community together for today’s Juneteenth celebration! 🧵
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the Black leaders and community members who have pushed our country forward in the face of injustice. It’s also a reminder that the work is never finished.
When Nicholas was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, his family was told he wouldn’t make it to the age of 20. Today, he's in college.
I got into public service to find every avenue to make real, tangible progress for the people I serve. 🧵
That's why I've spent years fighting to expand research and treatment options for rare diseases. Because behind every breakthrough is a family hoping for more time, more opportunities, and a brighter future for the people they love.
I'm incredibly grateful for the support our campaign received last night and humbled by the trust so many people have placed in me.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, hosted events, knocked doors, made calls, and put your faith in this campaign.
I'm grateful to the voters of this community for their support. This campaign has provided me the opportunity to reconnect with so many people I've represented and worked alongside for years, as well as getting to know new people and communities across this redrawn district.
