Since we launched our 2040 roadmap for sustainable polymers in liquid formulations, an estimated 36 million tonnes of PLFs have been used & not recovered.

Looks like the #RAPS24 meeting was a huge success as usual for @RAPS_Org events! Gutted I couldn't be there but glad I could keep up to date on here. We had representation from the @AstonAIME @AstonEPS team, all of which were first time attendees... 1/4
Dr Georgia Maitland (@GeorgiaLucyMai1) presented work recently published in @ChemicalScience (doi.org/10.1039/D3SC06717C). Since March, Georgia has been continuing her research into new ionogel materials on an @EPSRC project. 3/4
Dr Siriporn Chaimueangchuen (Snook) presented research from her PhD with @RORgroup (doi.org/10.1021/acs.bioconjc…). Snook joined us in May and is working on our @EUeic project "BIOMEM" with @alan_goddard and others, which has a new website biomem.eu/. 4/4
Last month the newly minted Dr Georgia Maitland (@GeorgiaLucyMai1) attended the Small-Angle Scattering Summer School 2024 at @koebenhavns_uni @UCPH_Research. Georgia uses SAXS to characterise her nanoparticles dispersed in ionic liquid: doi.org/10.1039/D3SC06717C

I’m happy to share that as of today I have been promoted to Senior Lecturer at @AstonUniversity! Thank you to all the researchers who have worked brilliantly in the lab and to all colleagues, collaborators, family and friends who have helped along the way!
