Defensive minded player, with length. I’m a fan. 6’5, 215, with a 6’10 wingspan. It’s a positional need, even before the Dub injury. Also allows the Thunder to control his contract entirely.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are signing forward Ochai Agbaji, filling their open roster spot, sources tell ESPN.

I fully understand that the NFL is king in terms of American sports, but the NBA pretty easily produces the superior storylines in my biased opinion.
Nobody produces storylines like the NFL. Just this week: 🏈Monday: Jay-Z announced as headline performer for the Super Bowl halftime show. 🏈Tuesday: Colts trade Quenton Nelson to Seattle, DeForest Bucker to San Francisco. 🏈Wednesday: Chiefs sign Justin Tucker, Colts WR Josh Downs requests trade. 🏈Thursday: Titans trade Jeffery Simmons to Bears for two first-round picks. 🏈Friday: Panthers fire defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and defensive pass-game coordinator Jonathan Cooley. Sunday, and the NFL trade deadline, await.

Both too expensive. Would be very surprised for either one, but specifically Murphy (I think Murphy would be a fantastic addition on both ends of the court, but there’s no way to pay him with the current roster construction)
Multiple rival executives have identified Herb Jones and Trey Murphy III as potential trade targets for the Thunder, per @BannedMacMahon (h/t @TheNBABase)

How can you not cheer for Tyrese Maxey? Need more of this. Full embracing of fatherhood.
Tyrese Maxey on whether he changes his baby's diaper: "I'm a big diaper changing guy. I take pride in the speed that I'm able to change a diaper and keep her from crying. So I'm a big diaper change guy, big feed guy, big nap guy. I'm all of it, wake up in the middle of the night, go get it. I do it all man. I try to cherish these moments, cause it feel like already now she trying to crawl and do different things. So she's already moving too fast for me"

I think OKC fans are gonna realize how hard it is to win in the NBA this season. Also, 9:00 games suck. 9:00 games where you lose by double digits with Josh Dix taking contested middys suck even more.

I get using the two way guys sparingly, like at the end of quarters or before media timeouts But I truly do not understand playing Josh Dix 22-24 mins a night, specifically when he’s not hitting shots This isn’t a tanking team exploring the roster. Felt like a game we punted on

Dub is the most invaluable player on this roster (apart from SGA). He adds so much to both ends of the court and can play multiple different roles. With Caso out as well, OKC’s defense is going to struggle mightily. Much more reliance on three point shooting on offense.

Jared McCain is not scared. That is a fact. We will not discuss the efficiency of those shots for now.

There are so many names being thrown out as potential Thunder trade targets, & respectfully, I disagree w a majority of them We just lost our best 2 perimeter defenders. We’re not going to be trading for a Ty Jerome or Jordan Poole. Don’t need offense. Need defensive versatility

I can’t help but to think back on countless monologues & heavy conversations that Ernie Johnson has led on Inside the NBA. Just a class act through and through, and more than deserving of his retirement 🫡
It’s time. 🤟🤟🏾🤟🏻🤟🏽

Dub to be re-evaluated at the end of the regular season. Doesn’t completely rule him out until next year, but no pressure with this timeline. Even coming off the bench for 8-10 minutes would be huge.

We’ve got a legit injury epidemic, and the commish is busy trying to create a European division of the NBA.
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has sustained a left hamstring strain and will miss time, sources tell ESPN. Pacers doctors and Haliburton are now gathering a clear timeline.

With all due respect to Josh Dix (running to the corner), if SGA drags this team to the playoffs, go ahead and add this clip to his MVP campaign.

And this is why Adam Silver’s obsession with tanking is just wrong. Injuries happen, and if serious, will result in the Jazz being penalized for circumstances outside of their control.
Will Hardy: "I think Jaren tore something, and I don't know about Lauri" Someone please tell me I saw this incorrectly...

I actually don’t mind Dillon Brooks’ antics most of the time. But of all games to decide to get chippy, could we just take the night off?? It’s been quite the 24 hours in OKC.

Mara goes to the bench, and SGA is quick to remind him to be strong with the ball after Brooks knocked it away from him after a rebound much earlier in the quarter. We gonna be alright if we got 2 out there.

Alex Caruso’s fragility during the regular season versus the playoffs is a mystery to me. Hoping it’s a mild injury, but any minor injuries feel like gut punches at this point.

Here’s the thing that I know… this team is made up of some high quality basketball players and human beings. There’s not gonna be blowouts like the last two seasons, with a lot of the games that will be dog fights. But then again, this team is full of dogs
