About a year and a half ago, I watched Arcane. I was just coming out of a very bad period, both physically and mentally, and on top of other personal stuff I won’t get into here, I was full of doubts about my future. My time at university was coming to an end and I didn’t believe in myself enough to pursue animation as a career. Then I watched this series. The art direction, the story, the music, the characters, the sheer amount of effort put into every single detail… I fell in love with all of it. There were so many scenes that left me speechless, crying, completely overwhelmed by what I was seeing. After finishing it, I remember feeling like it had reignited something in me: the desire to be curious again, to study, to dive deeper, to work, to spend hours and hours designing and animating things, and ultimately to pursue the path that has now become my full-time job. This is my love letter to everything Arcane gave me, represented by the character I appreciated, related to and empathized with the most, and who stayed closest to my heart until the end: Vi.

I will forever love this absolute masterpiece. Happy 5th anniversary!
