People paint Hasan as a radical who doesn't want Dems to win when. But if you listen to him, he is extremely pragmatic and is doing more to try to create a big tent Democratic Party than all the people trying to kick him and his millions of followers out of the Democratic Party.
Hasan Piker, once again, explained why Abdul El-Sayed campaigning with establishment Democrats like Kamala Harris and Barack Obama is not a bad thing: "There is real tension in Michigan. I'm telling you, I've seen it. I've talked to people on the ground. And while not everyone is appreciative of Kamala Harris, clearly, considering she lost the state of Michigan to Donald Trump, there are those who ARE very supportive of Kamala Harris; voters that Abdul El-Sayed needs to bring turnout, to really tap into. Black voters, older Black voters specifically. Older Black voters like Kamala Harris; won't say the same about younger Black voters, won't say the same about voters broadly. But, older Black voters, they love Kamala Harris. There is still resentment directed towards those who did not vote for her or even went out and voted for Donald Trump in the state of Michigan. To address this, to resolve this issue, you need support from the establishment figures that older Black voters have placed a lot of trust in. This is not about agreeing with Kamala Harris, this is not about her positions. The question always is: Do you wanna win? And if you want to win, you have to do this. I don't think it's a bad idea at all; I think it's a good idea and I want Obama to come out and stump for Abdul, too."
