Aston Villa owner Nassef Sawiris (NSWE) could now sanction a major sale to a sister company to help balance the books at #avfc
Chelsea have already utilised this exact method with their hotel and Women's team and now Villa could follow suit 🟣🔵

I’d like to apologise to Aston Villa, the owners & their fans.
My language this week was clumsy & wrong.
I can assure Villa fans it was tongue in cheek but I can understand it’s not come across that way, so apologies.
Good luck today UTV!
“Aston Villa will never be Manchester United.
“Surely Emery would want that opportunity to manage a giant again. There is a chain in football, whether you like it or not.
“Real Madrid will take Manchester United’s best player, they did it with Ronaldo.
“So shut the fuck up Aston Villa fans. Aston Villa will never be Manchester United.”
Surprised #avfc fans?

Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans.
Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football.

I understand the argument that #avfc could (and probably would) have been relegated even if Barry, Milner and Delph hadn't of joined Manchester City.
They could have gone on to join other sides for similar fees and left Villa short anyway
The point is that their exits made Man City stronger and made a direct rival worse as they could clearly offer more financially than Villa could
We lost key players to them and went from 12 points ahead of them to 51 behind in four years
Agbonlahor was right there in the dressing room and a key player at the time, so if he's saying it, it is brutally clear how much these moves impacted the squad
Those sales killed a the ambition and ultimately saw Martin O'Neill leave and the downfall began from there
If they hadn't had the money to begin with, who knows what would have happened to Villa
What do we make of this? #avfc
Gabby Agbonlahor has ripped into Manchester City and the damage they did to Aston Villa between 2009 and 2018
City have been found guilty on all but one of the 115 charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations
#avfc went on to be relegated in 2016 and Agbonlahor has levelled part of the blame at #mcfc
"I played in that era, 2009 to 2018. We got relegated in 2016, for six seasons I played in it You know what they did in 2009? They took our best player, Gareth Barry.
"You know what they did in 2010? They took our best player, James Milner. You know what they did in 2014? They took our best player, Fabian Delph.
"As a Villa player in that era. a bunch of cheaters have taken our best players, we've gone to the Etihad and got some spankings from Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and David Silva, where did they get the money from to buy these players?"

No Zion Suzuki for Japan...
Might be a precaution, but doesn't seem like great news for #avfc

Zion Suzuki has been given his own training plan with Japan as he recovers from a rib injury, according to Japanese outlet Hochi
With how good he's been, I have to ask why he's been allowed to go on international duty while carrying a problem
When Cole Palmer is rejecting England due to "load management" don't Villa have a strong case to bring back their number one for an actual injury?
Must be more to it, but just seems like a no brainer to me #avfc
I didn't think much of his performance last night, but all of this stuff is so weird to me #avfc
Substitute came on against the best team in the league and struggled to get into the game?
Is there a Tammy Abraham or Alysson one coming too? Almost certainly not
Weird.
Imagine doing all this in just 22 minutes. Garnacho. 🤯 nitter.cf/mufc_clips/status/2094…
Watkins has the longevity and goal record to set himself above almost any Aston Villa striker of the Premier League era
But if we’re talking pure striker, Cristian Benteke has to be the best I’ve seen for #avfc
Absolutely unbelievable in a dross side, made it look easy at times
A big read on Ollie Watkins and his time at #AVFC, the good, the bad and the ugly end.
Regardless, Watkins goes down as a Villa legend, and their best centre forward of the Premier League era, in my opinion.
I will miss him leading the line.

You would imagine this means #avfc are hopeful that Nicolas Jackson will be signed in time to play against Arsenal
This one doesn’t make any sense if not…
Surely can’t play another game without a striker?
Ipswich Town working to close a deal to sign Tammy Abraham on a straight loan. #AVFC been willing to listen to offers throughout summer, with striker outside Unai Emery's plans. Just having a look at how a 5-at-the-back could work against Brighton
I know Unai Emery doesn't change formation very often, if at all, but was worth a look
...and it looks pretty bleak for #avfc without a striker
Would he have been sent off if the referee had seen it at the time?
Don’t get it…
ALT West Bromwich Albion’s Aune Heggebo has been given a two-match ban for successful deception of a match official during their EFL Championship match against Norwich City on Saturday 15 August. It was alleged that the player acted in an improper manner in or around the 75th minute of the match, whereby he successfully deceived a match official by handling the ball in a direct and successful attempt to score a goal, contrary to FA Rule E3.1. Aune Heggebo denied the charge against him, however an independent Regulatory Commission found it to be proven and imposed this sanction following a hearing. The Regulatory Commission’s written reasons will be published in due course.
This whole rebuild thing was fun for a bit, but let's stop it now please, it's getting silly #avfc
