Look who decided to drop by @MayfieldTweets on Monday! Our utility workers spotted this hawk outside the school and realized it wasn't able to fly. They were able to safely catch the bird, which is now in the hands of a rescue program. #MiddieRising

Today was “lemon dayyyyy!” In third grade at @MayfieldTweets Lemon Day Pictures! In the morning, we learned about a lemon’s origins, uses, and life cycle. In the afternoon, we did a couple of lemon/baking soda experiments and tasted a variety of lemony snacks.

Today we read a scholastic news article about kid inventors and the students designed their own. I loved reading their ideas— here we have go away spray, the speller helper, and the grader! 🤣💜
