Roots planting roots in Chester! 🌳 "I was proud to help plant a tree at William Penn Park as we celebrated Chester’s birthday, where William Penn first landed. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and do the work!"

Like this tree, the work we’re doing today plants seeds for Chester’s growth and a brighter future for generations to come. Happy Birthday, Chester! 🎉

Short 34-second reminder: set out your trash & recycling properly. Please and thank you!

Went to the Boys & Girls Club for a Boeing STEM event to see over 50 engaged students explore six career stations and hands-on activities. Then, the geek in me took over when I saw the virtual reality headset and had to try it! 🤓 Hope the students found their inner geek.

Talked a lot of trash this week. I was honored to return to speak to Team Green and others at Maris Grove in Glen Mills about the impact of the Reworld incinerator on our community and to learn about their efforts to reduce waste going there by recycling and composting.

It was a pleasure welcoming this awesome group of new CCSA teachers and staff to Chester City Hall during their tour of our city. I wish them a productive and successful school year as they educate and inspire Chester’s young scholars. Welcome to Chester, and have a great year!

It was my pleasure to spend time with these young men at the MACG ROAR Camp and give them a look at city government and my role as Mayor. I hope they walked away with a better understanding of how local government works and will remain engaged, productive citizens.

We're about two-thirds of the way through our Mayor's Safe Summer Series, and I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible turnout we've seen across Chester! We're not done yet! We have four more stops to go, and I hope to see you there.

Another Safe Summer Series event happens today: 5-7 pm at Holy City (8th St. near Sproul). Come on out for some summertime fun, Chester-style, with snacks, music, water slide, and more. Hope to see you there!

Nothing beats spending summer with the people of Chester! The Safe Summer Series has been an incredible time -- meeting neighbors, laughing with families, and seeing our communities come together. Stay tuned... we're bringing the fun to a neighborhood near you soon!

Had a great time hosting seniors from the Chester Senior Center for a tour of Subaru Park and lunch together! Many had never visited the stadium in their own city, and a conversation at one of our monthly meetings inspired this special outing.

Thank you, Col. Arthur Jenkins, Jr., Director, Delaware County Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, for presenting some very interesting and helpful information for veterans at the Mayor's Lecture Series. ICYMI, you can watch it here: youtube.com/watch?v=rITCP30_…

Great visit with the ladies at Maris Grove discussing the impact of trash incineration on Chester’s health. Even better - they’re taking action by recycling paper & cardboard into art materials for the Widener Child Dev. Ctr. Real impact. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Had a great time at Widener's Senior Civic Engagement Scholars Celebration -- an inspiring showcase of civic engagement in action. Congratulations to the students for their impactful service projects, and to the graduating scholars on earning their stoles!
