Am a huge fan sir, but the whole point of decentralization is to not have main characters, yeah? IMO, the way forward will be subDAO led projects that report to the community, with oversight & final say in governance via veto of all major decisions of a subDAO enforced by the community itself. This is in stark contrast to the old world nation state and corporate model, where the senators and directors as a class supposedly were tasked with oversight, but they created far too much protection of misdeeds within the departments and agencies, and fostered a cultural model of in-transparency and opacity within the leadership of nation states and corps overall. And now we have the Fed wrecking our money, the NIH funding virus gain-of functions, and the FDA destroying the integrity of our food & passing medicines that kill us. And zombie companies w/ cooked books protected by crooked boards of directors everywhere. And citizens cannot fire Fauci and shareholders cannot get rid of crooked CEOs protected by crooked boards. We can create a better design architecture of organization with the crypto tools, we just have to get the community voting system and subDAO + community veto method of leading the common enterprise working correctly. When you are building an engine, there are 100 ways to get it wrong and blow it up. But when you get it just right, it goes ‘thump, thump, thump’. Getting governance arrangements right is a similar level of difficulty, but should be similarly rewarding. We have the community voting system to establish the subDAO mandates (ie, grants, mktg, BD, Justice, etc - similar to the agencies of a gov or departments of a corp), which are specialized functional teams to drive and grow the ecosystem and its projects, and next we need to figure out how a leaderless community can be empowered to perform veto over major subDAO decisions. If we can get this right, then we can evolve to a better result then the Corps and nation states — that have always self-interested & sometimes conflicted Senators and Directors, and single characters as leaders — could ever give us. We need a hierarchy of accountability to extend from the community pool to the subDAOs to the sub-subDAOs, with community oversight and power of veto to force accountability of subDAOs to undo, clawback, and end the chicanery and fraud if it happens there — which has been protected by the senators, directors, and other main characters within the corp and ns model. This is the reason why the leaders of the early DAOs who pioneer and figure out this model need to be clean as a whistle, and cannot be engaging in the old world behaviors, during the transitional period that we are figuring this new path of governance - as the intention and end goal is to create a new standard of community oversight and accountability, and, thus a new culture of better leadership in the end. We can figure this out, I am hopeful, we are very close now.
