이름 GPU-Unlock인데... 새 글카 안 사고, 오버클럭도 안 하고, 제한만 풀었더니.. 아래와 같이 성능 향상이 되었습니다.
RTX 3060 --> +78~99%
RTX 3070 --> +72~81%
RTX 3080 --> +68~73%
RTX 3090 Ti --> BF16 +80%
RTX 4070 Ti --> +83~84%
RTX 4090 --> 특정 Tensor 거의 2배
RTX 2080 Ti도 --> +36~64%

진짜 왜 이게 미친듯이 난리냐면...
내 집에 있는 RTX 글카 안에 "쓸 수 있는데 잠겨 있던" AI 성능이 있었기 때문입니다.
왜 엔비디아가 이렇게 했냐고 지금 의심이 가장 많이 되고 있는 쪽은..
--> 지포스랑 비싼 전문가용 GPU를 등급으로 나누려고 FP16/BF16 쪽을 일부러 깎아둔 거라는 쪽입니다.
(아직 엔비디아가 공식적으로 인정한 건 아님)
이미 산 옛날 RTX 글카에 이만큼 성능을 엔비디아가 막아두고 있었다는 사실 자체가 너무너무 충격입니다...

Update: Apple’s lease deal is MUCH better than I expected.
Since the automatic option is a buy-out if you take no action after your lease ends, it qualifies for the Section 179 asset deduction rule for businesses.
This means you can lease a $2,999 MacBook Pro and pay $0 down, yet write off the full $2,999 on your taxes as a business expense.
This reduces your income by $2,999, which can save someone in the 22% tax bracket $659.78 in taxes.
This essentially (guy math) means you only paid $2,339.22 for a new computer worth $2,999.
The tax savings go up if you’re in higher tax brackets. You’ll save $1,049.65 if you’re in the 35% tax bracket.
Savings go up even more with more expensive models. The only problem is that you have to continue to pay it off and eventually buy it out, so don’t go all out.
The best part is that every business including sole proprietorships qualify.
Imagine the boost to Mac sales when hundreds of thousands of businesses figure this out.
And if you decide to sell it after you buy it out, you technically have to repay taxes based on the sale price..
But it’s a very useful tool to use if you had an unusually good year and your AGI (adjusted gross income) is right above the limits for certain tax advantages like child tax credits, QBI business deductions and more.

Explained this in today’s YouTube video. If you lease a $2,999 Mac, you pay $58 a month for 36 months. At the end, you owe $911 to pay it off or return it.
However, Apple gives you 6 more months to decide. Meanwhile, you continue paying monthly payments of $53.
You now have 6 months to save up $563 as the final payment to pay it off. If you fail to do so, you can return it back to Apple.
It obviously makes sense to pay it off because you can then resell the $2,999 Mac for $1,500+ on eBay or Facebook marketplace instead of losing the $2,436 you paid over those 42 months.
The beautiful thing about the deal is that you never pay more than the $2,999 MSRP because there are no lease or interest fees.
You ONLY lose if you can’t pay the monthly payments or you can’t afford to pay off the final balance. (And keep in mind this is an expensive $2,999 M5 Pro 16” MacBook Pro)
And as soon as you pay it off, you can restart a brand new lease plan if you’d like while keeping your paid off Mac.
