My wife, Ashley, and I had the honor and privilege to vote for the people of S.C. this morning. That is the type of servant leadership that only I can offer the people of SC. We want you to know we trust and believe in you and cannot wait to see us prove together that the real power in this state belongs to those of us who believe in the truth, the light and doing what is right for the people of SC. to the exclusion of all others.

Greed is a bottomless pit and political corruption has no conscience.

My campaign does not belong to me. It belongs to the people of SC. I am just a surrendered vessel through which the people of SC can tear down the walls of political corruption and forever change the balance of power in this state so that the people have all the power and the selfish hearted politicians and their for-profit friends have none.

My uncle Walt is 89 years old and just got out of the hospital last week.  Servant leaders put in the work themselves. Servant leaders never quit on the people of South Carolina because they are who matter. A life lived for oneself is not worth living. A life lived for others is a life well lived.

I am here to stand for you. To be your voice at a time in our State’s history when it matters the most. I am the only person running for Governor that gives the people of South Carolina the power they have long deserved but have not yet had.

This is too important not to post so please forgive me for the Sunday morning post.

The truth and the light is what has been missing. Real change is coming and there is nothing this corrupt political class system can do about it.

This is what I call getting shook by the truth.

A half-truth is a whole lie. Mr. Johnson told you that he was the highest-rated Democrat in the House — what he did not tell you is that ranking came from the Club for Growth, which means he votes with the Republican establishment MORE than any other Democrat in the House. In fact, he has voted with the Republican establishment more than Bruce Bannister, the Republican Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, and more than the Republican-preferred candidate for Attorney General, Senator Stephen Goldfinch.

Lies satisfy today’s desires but they have no future.

“I don’t know what he is talking about” or “He is not worth responding to” is called pleading the 5th.  Please do not be deceived there is too much at stake, like the people of South Carolina’s jobs.

Problem: Big corporations are replacing hard-working South Carolinians with robots and automation, pocketing the savings while families lose their paychecks. Solution: We need a job-saving Robot Tax. Corporations that swap South Carolina workers for robotics will pay for it. We need to tax the robots to assist displaced workers with new skills training.

The tragic death of Cyrus Carmack-Belton is a loss we all feel. Our hearts are broken for his family and loved ones. Nothing can change the devastating reality that a 14-year-old child’s life was lost far too soon. Our prayers, and deepest condolences are with Cyrus’s family as they navigate unimaginable grief that no parent should have to feel. We grieve with our community over this profound loss, and we pray that his family finds some level of closure in the difficult times ahead.
