‘I don't actually believe that Germany, France are spending their money so much because they worry about Russia. I think these guys are arming themselves against their own populations. And we see it in Germany, we see it in France, the cuts to free speech – you want to talk about Palestine, get out of jail card is not available to you: Palestine Action in the UK; the keffiyeh’s banned in parts of Germany; you can't say free Palestine in France, the way that French police have been dealing with protesters, coming in looking like Robocop.
‘That's where they seem to be spending a lot of their repressive apparatus money. You're not going to invade Russia, forget it, it's a nuclear country – but you may have to protect yourself, Emmanuel Macron and company, from your own population.’
'The struggle of opposites is ceaseless, it goes on both when the opposites are coexisting and when they are transforming themselves into each other, and becomes especially conspicuous when they are transforming themselves into one another.'

A vindication of the Gaza students and all those who have campaigned for their right to study here.
An absolute indictment of wannabe hardman Jim O'Callaghan and this government.
All they offer is some empty words combined with performative cruelty.

There is no outcome that changes a single thing in Palestine or Lebanon. Genocide, racism, terror+ ethnic cleansing are baked into the DNA of the zionist regime + have been since the beginning. Zionism must fall.

'While Dublin debates its military future, the EU Commission has quietly presented its plan to supersize Frontex: tripling its armed corps to 30,000 troops, deportations from one EU country to another and more surveillance, including social media monitoring.'
And right now our defence minister Helen McEntee is concerned with one war in particular: the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
McEntee says Irish troops should be deployed to Lebanon as part of a new EU mission involved with not only peacekeeping – but peace enforcement.
Peace enforcement includes joining “coalitions of the willing” and fighting wars of aggression like the 20-year Afghanistan war, and the wars in Iraq, which claimed the lives of well over a million people.
If we consider the ideals the state was founded on, it is clear that Irish soldiers should never be involved in these kinds of missions.

It's frankly embarrassing listening to those who claim to be educated on the subject, wishing & hoping for a Netanyahu ousting...
Have you learned nothing over the past three (and 78) years??!
It matters not who runs the colonial project. The project itself must be ended.

“Some of our main problems now is with the middle class who believe they own the Ormeau,” says Noel Liggett, District Master of Ballynafeigh Loyal Orange Lodge, No 10, whose Orange Hall stands on the Ormeau Road.
“If you drive down the Ormeau Road in a bit of sunshine, you’ll see the coffee shops, all the guys sitting sipping their coffees. The older Prods will be down the side street, not really taking part. They look on us with contempt.”
