Excited to kick off the inaugural Stryker x WINS senior resident course. @StrykNS er @WomenInNSGY @Neurosurgery_IU
Its a typical Wednesday night, sitting in the library studying with my friend and classmate. Tonight, he got a call we've been waiting on for years- there might be a kidney on the way for him. I don't think I've ever felt such excitement, joy, and gratitude for medicine.
I couldn't help but cry some tears of joy and hold my breath in disbelief while I listened to him call his closest family and friends. I'm now sitting in the surgical waiting room at our hospital at midnight, waiting to see from his pre-surgical work up if he is a good match
