A major update from the Climate Prediction Center shows a "very strong" El Niño now has a 70% chance of exceeding all previous ones on record as it continues to strengthen through the winter. A man on a Santa Cruz beach used pizza to lure in a seagull that needed help. The seagull was entangled in fishing tackle, with a hook in its beak. The man removed parts of the line and hook before setting the bird free.
