@FLSERT Executive Director Jared Perdue joined @FDACS Commissioner Wilton Simpson in Jay, Florida, to assess the damage firsthand & hear directly from local producers about their recovery needs.
Florida remains committed to helping impacted agricultural operations recover, rebuild & get back on their feet.

Thank you to @FLHSMV for issuing an agency EO to support our green peanut industry following the storm. In this case, expediting the harvest, processing, and farm to market delivery for a true Florida heritage crop.
Florida’s Peanut Industry supports our overall economy by over $220M annually and this storm hit it right as green peanuts were in peak harvest for fall boils.
Thank you @WiltonSimpson, @MearKat00, and @FDACS for your unwavering commitment in identifying where the levers are to provide vital relief to our family farmers, including those working hard along our northern border.
