Unlike the Messenger Muhammad ﷺ, who had multiple opponents accept Islām during his lifetime, the Christ of Christianity was rejected as a Messiah by every known Jewish sect at his time in the 1st century CE.
Not a single sect of Judaism: the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Essenes, the Zealots, not even the followers of John the Baptist accepted him. He was universally denied.
Either he was bad at being the Messiah as per universal rejection (the traditional ✝️ view), or the Islāmic narrative makes more sense. That the Jews recognised who he was but out of power, malice, & jealousy they sought to have him killed, but God rescued him in a miraculous way by raising him to heaven.
